beer from a brewery in mt. holly, which is like 10 miles from where i live.

pretty sure this is the first beer from them that i have tried and i'm pretty pleasantly surprised. it's very solid

you can tell right away it's gonna be hoppy cause it smells like grapefruit and weed. and it is, but not killer hoppy like something that would turn dave off.

probably the smoothest ipa i can really remember having. if it weren't for the fluffy head i'd wonder if it was carbonated at all.

it's an imperial ipa, which i guess means it's strong (says 7.5, which i'm not sure is quite imperial).

it smells like poop compared to the last one but it tastes pretty damn good and goes down really easy for 7.5. i actually don't taste the hops as much as i did with the last one. you can sort of tell it's a stronger abv beer if you really try but it's definitely not a stronger hop punch.

both good. giving this one an 8.00 s2tp also. which i think makes tonight a success.

i like to go read other people's reviews after i do one of these to see if i'm getting what they're getting.

please kill me if if i ever start talking like these people or if i ever start taking s2tps off for "The head looked nice and full but had an odd texture with inadequate lacing"

who the (frank) cares, rock_glen from ny?? who the (frank) cares?

Poured a golden copper color in a Spiegelau glass with a 4F head, which took a while to resolve.

another local brewery.

they seem to be trying too hard. they have a lot of strange beers and beers with awful names.

i don't think they could have been more obvious in marketing this one directly towards the blacks.

i mean, come on. fresh prince reference, graffiti on brick wall background, and the words "juicy and tropical"

just write "mad dog 20/20" on the can and call it a day.

I read a review that makes it sound really good but I still stand by my comment. Flying Monkey Brewery here does the same kind of tacky poop.

trying to pick things lately that i wouldn't normally buy and decided to pick a lager, maybe a pilsner, today. just went in looking for one of those two words.

if you find yourself in the mood for such a beer this one was good. i honestly can't tell you how it stacks up against other lagers because i don't normally drink them but this was enjoyable.

it's obviously not a hoppy experience but it was crisp and clean tasting. pretty refreshing. again i drank 5 (drinking a full 6 pack is alcoholism) so i must have liked it.

i'ma give it 8.0 s2tps

and here's the pilsner.

too drunk to do this properly.

it was very good. went down easy. hoppier than a pilsner is probably supposed to be. 8.5

DEAR GLUCKER:

10th anniversary at the pub today, they pull out special beers they've been saving in the basement for these things. supposedly a dogfish head 120 they've had down there since 2007 or something is one of them this year.

Golden Road brewing Wolf Pup session IPA

Other than the demasculizing name, it is a little above average session ipa. Nice hop smell and citrus bitter taste.

i def had beer today. very little memory of any of it. definitely remember a breckenridge vanilla porter on tap and a young's double chocolate on tap at yard's brewerry around 4 or 5 today. those were (frank)ing delicious.

i was very drunk. i was not even at yards brewery. i was at the yard house.

i did however enjoy a breckenridge vanilla porter on tap which makes it even more delicious as well as a young's double choc stout.
