This isn't bad. It's made with pineapple but you can't taste it.

I didn't find it bad on tap, I just didn't think it was worth its ratings on ratebeer and such. It's an average IPA.

We also get Sapporo, which isn't bad.

however it can also be described as "easy drinking", "smooth", "light". In other words- just drink water.

That crap is made in Guelph (Sleeman) though I thought? Japanese in name only over here.

hmm, interesting, Sapporo bought Sleeman.

funny outtake from the wiki page:
Space Barley
Using barley grown from seeds which spent five months on board the International Space Station in 2006, Sapporo created a limited Space Barley brew. The project was a joint one between the Russian Academy of Sciences, Okayama University, and Sapporo. Tasters described the flavor as no different from similar beers, which researchers point to as important in showing that producing food in space for long duration flights is possible. Six packs of the space beer were sold in a lottery system at a price of 10,000 yen.[20][21]

No poop there weren't any differences in taste.

Cracked open a bottle from my first successful homebrew this weekend! Turned out better than I expected ... Fest Bier (done with ale yeast rather than lager since I don't really have a good way of controlling cool temperatures for lagering) nice and malty with a little bit of Saaz hop bite. A little under carbed though, think I went a little too cool with my bottle conditioning, so I'm going to leave a few bottles and up the temp for a week or two.

you don't need much room anymore.

some dude at work keeps pressuring me to try making my own beer. he says you can get your first kit for under like 100 bucks and he says as long as i have a roof over my head i have room to make my own beer. even in a little apartment. says he made his own when he was somewhere overseas for a war or some poop, and he only had a little studio apartment.

i'm much too lazy to do it, but if you really want to do it i just figured i'd let you know that lack of space doesn't have to hold you back.

i'm pretty anal about the appearance of my apt so unless i had a garage to hide it in i wouldn't brew at home

also who has an apartment when they're at war

One of the Mrs' concerns too. I do 1/2 batches and basically have half a closet in the spare bedroom dedicated to storing everything. Doesn't take up a huge amount of space. Of course I wouldn't store much anything else in that closet for fear of it permanently smelling like fermentation.

i think he stayed around in whatever country he was in because he met a woman and married her. he's here working in marlton, nj now because the lady left him as soon as he bought her a big house. so now he brews his beer in a small apartment here in america as opposed to his big house overseas.

moral of the story is that you should always dodge the draft.
