They all suffer from FWS Fat Wallet Syndrome They all got their long term contracts and they are set for retirement They do not have the hunger that comes with youth
They have their guaranteed money Only one who plays for the love of the game all the time is SID
That is why increasing the Salary Cap is bad More money makes more lazy players and money does not produce production If you have 45 points in a year and your salary doubles your production will still be 45 points I call that a bad investment - broncohorvath
Even you have been making sense recently.

I hate point collecting forwards. Thankfully Harkins isn't one those types. - acdc1206
Well, we're going to see just how replaceable Jake is. Personally, I see the middle six wings as the biggest problem after the PP so I'm not hopeful. Maybe Smith will want to play hard for a few weeks to be attractive in a trade? |

DOC! - Thunderbolt
.Smith after a hot ten game start: 3g and 10 points in 34 games
Rackell 5g 18pts in 38 games this season.
That's not even a second line wing if you combine them. 8g 28pt in 72 games.
I like DOC still as a bottom six, but he's had plenty of chances to step up in the top six and hasn't.
Then there's the RW spot they left open for guys like Zohorna, Harkins, Nylander, Puustinen, Pulj, etc to grab and nobody has.
Aside from some ok play by DOC and a solid season as a fourth liner from Carter, they wing scoring from this team is atrocious. Should be a bigger story, but the PP overshadows it. Team on paper should score way more than they do even allowing for Geno is losing a step or two. |

I don't think anybody believes he's replaceable other than Grinder.....and he really doesn't believe it either.

Can anyone explain why Poulin wouldn't get a call up at this point? |

Too bad Carter doesn't play with half the passion of DOC. He might still belong in the NHL. |

I think there are people who think they can do a Neal for Hornqvist type swap and be better off.
I think they could use a Hornqvist type too don't get me wrong. But they need more goals period. |

This game has got the look of another loss to a poop Hawks team. Pens just turned to scrambled eggs in that period. |

Didn't the Canucks only beat you guys 2-0 a few weeks ago? Oilers 3-0? Without Bedard?
None of that is to say they shouldn't clean house, though haha just sayin.. |

So I was listening to Madden today... He said the Pens are playing to nearly 98% capacity at PPG. Honestly, I thought it would be less. That surprised me.
He had Yohe on... Yohe said (as far as he knows) there hasn't been any real discussions between Dubas and Guentz. |
