Yup, pretty tough schedule ahead.
- Reubenkincade

There's an "app" for that.

https://www.tankathon.com...maining_schedule_strength

Hard to say though because Vancouver plays LA 4 times and LA had amassed points but are sinking.

https://www.tankathon.com/nhl/canucks

You can see the remaining schedule in a nice easy format as well.

Canucks next 28 games they play these teams.

VGK 3
Bost 1
Dal 1
AVS 3
WPG 3
LA 3
OIL 1
CAL 2

I think you have to be nuts to say Canucks will get this amount of wins or Petey will get this amount of points. This is a tough schedule.

Hopefully all these road games ahead help.

Agree. Only easy game there is vs the Oil. Canucks owned the Oilers!

The big jerk Miller is our ace in the hole for an Oilers match up.

From a players stand point, Hughes should fire his agent. Petey's agent played their hand far better is all. Not what fans and GM's want to hear but Hughes going long term didnt work out for him. The bridge is going to work out for Petey though.
- boonerbuck

Hughes when he signed his contract was not the Hughes of this year.

Would you be happy to give 7.85M per year for 6 years to those numbers? I definitely would not.

Back to 80’s hockey where the player shadows the other teams star, whacking and hacking every chance he gets. Hmm Tocchet has a plan.

Everybody has their own bias. Except for me, I'm far too cold to have actual favorites. I like players that have the best all around games but at the same time, it's just what you bring and what you're worth to me.

In terms of all around players, there isn't many anymore that are at the highest offensively and defensively.

The best two all around players IMO right now are Barkov and Crosby. They score and can be trusted in all assignments.

Kucherov, McDavid, Mackinnon are unworldly offensively but nobody is talking about how great their 200 foot games are ever.

Pettersson is in the Marner category that they have elite all around games just not generational.

- manvanfan

I just like bugging Reuby because of his bias towards a player who I think is one of the best draft picks in Canucks history. I get the bias on his game, he falls down a lot, he's not strong on puck, he's not MacKinnon or Crosby, but you have to appreciate his game and his ability to put up points. He thinks the game very well, which is his greatest weapon.

I hate his giveaways, but it's part and parcel for skilled offensive players, trying to be creative with the puck, means you turn it over a lot trying to create offense. Kucherov is #1 in turnovers this year and he's also leading the league in scoring.

They can trade him 2. Just so Lefty knows I disrespect all Canucks except Juulsen.

I didn't like Tocchet, but he has proven to be what this team needed, plus I also like his post-game interviews. Very realistic, plus he basically told to that idiot Drance to fuck off, without having to say so.
- Reubenkincade

It's getting to a point where you not liking a player or coach is a very good thing. Hoping you hate Willander and Lakkermaki too!

That's exactly my point. His contract is based on his earlier development seasons. Petey's will be based on seasons in his prime(this and last season).

Imagine what Hughes would get if he was a FA this summer...

Good thing the Canucks have Pettersson, he has more points against playoff teams than non-playoff teams.

They will out for blood after those early games, that will not be easy. Calgary will be a sunny day in paradise in comparison.

You think you can win the Stanley Cup with a 23 man plumber roster, that's how you like to see the game played, by scrubs.

I hated when the Sedins fell lot in their early to mid 20's as well. I didnt let it blur the reality of the players overall skill package though...

which is why GM is a GM, we are fans. They get paid to forecast ahead and know if a guy is getting better, clearly many fans did not see his progression coming.

This is a joke right? Mackinnons defensive metrics are right there with Crosby, should never be uttered in the same category as the one-dimensional players.

Going way back to the 70's the Flyers did it twice, more recently, the Bruins did it in 2011, the Blues in 2019 and Vegas last season.
