I expected much more from him since the draft. That whole draft is lacking so far. I expect in the next couple years that a bunch of those players start to hit. Podkolzin is 22nd in scoring in that draft with 33 points. Insane
- manvanfan

What's insane is, of the 21 guys ahead of him, 14 of them were drafted AFTER him, including Hoglander. He was a really average, to poor, draft pick. Heavily leaning on the poor side.

He's got till next year to figure it out. Than if he is on waivers, I'd suspect Chicago or San Jose puts a claim in.

This is the perfect example of Vasily Podkolzin at his best–So. Much. Potential. It's so easy to see this and say, "Call him up now."

The thing is that this isn't the Podkolzin we're seeing on a nightly basis. It's there, but let him stew and continue to build that confidence.

LAst 6 games only Garland has 1 points the goal against Washington from the "3rd line"

Bottom 6 has really gone cold for the past month.

Lefty you didn't include this in your post

The Athletic has the Canucks Prospect Pool ranked at 18th! Previously ranked 28.

A proper rank I'd say.

Although I was fine with the pick, my preferences, not necessarily in this order, Thomson, Harley and Newhook. That Harley is one heck of a defenseman.

Yeah not really tho.
Teams 8-4 in the last month - and 3 of those losses they got a point

Lafferty GWG the Buff game
Garland/JOsh both scored in the Columbus loss
Josh GWG Arizona game
Hogs/Garly 2 Gs each in Toronto win
Suter GWG in Hawks game
Garly/Hogs goals in Wash win

Lotto line + 2nd line and Suter (hat trick) helped win the other games.

It's actually been perfectly balanced - consistent AF

I can see what you are saying that players are scoring irregularly to help the team win. That's great and all but good teams don't have their bottom 6 appear on the scoresheet every 4 games. Lafftery is a healthy scratch, that's how well he has been playing. Mikheyev has 4 points in 17 games. Suter had a Hattrick in 1 game and has 1 goal in the other 10.

Here in Canuck land, we prefer that players are developed in the NHL (or the SHL, or the NCAA, then jump right into the NHL).

Ya, they have them appear on scoresheet every 5 or 6 games.

That was the Jim Benning plan, that all changed when JR and PA came in, after they had some time to evaluate. They sent almost everyone down that should've been down, Podkolzin and Hoglander specifically, and now all those kids they signed are down in the AHL developing....Bains, Sasson, Mcdonough, McWard, Raty, Karlsson, Johansson, Arturs Silovs, etc.

And yet we keep winning.

All im saying is despite individual players having cold streaks, the stats/data show us that it's not really having a losing effect on the team.

I think this is the sign of a well balanced team, with solid depth, guys/lines that prop up the other when they've having an off night. The numbers speak for themselves, we're not luckily in 1st, we're in 1st.

But Still a lot to prove. Some line issues to be solved. Milky, Aman, Lafferty, PDG, Friedman all can and should all be shuffled - I wanna see what some other guys can do - even if it's just for the internal competition aspect alone.

They are waiting for the games to start before announcing the controversial low number of games Reilly gets. It's 530 back east and still nothing...

Have approached both about sponsoring. Kleenex has moved from the Canadian market but Preparation H sounded very interested, especially when I mentioned Toronto Maple Leaf fans.
