definitely depends on which gear you are in the machine. If you're not on site management it's a thing of beauty.

None of this is true. I can promise you that.

They are absolutely incompetent, and that incompetence is why we are here.

-I'm not sure what you consider a carpet bagger/snake oil salesman, but I'd be interested in why you think Pegula is in this category
-They took a ton of advice from people they shouldn't have. This was extremely well documented, to the point where they trusted no one but Kevyn Adams. Hence, why he's the GM.
-They still have great interest in the Sabres. I can personally assure you of that.

They are incompetent and are much more hesitant to spend money than they used to be. Their own bad decisions, bad hirings/contracts plus lockdowns brought them to this point. Their staff and arena management has been atrocious. These things are objectively true.

Well we know for a fact they didn’t listen to Pat Lafontaine to the point they preferred to burn a bridge with one of the few guys who’s Jersey in the rafters. I know Jacob’s had offered to run 716 when they got in the restaurant business. They declined and ran that place like poop instead.

I say “carpet bagger” because of the hubris. “From this day forward…” as if every other owner didn’t want to win. Dude US bankruptcy court ram the team better than you.

I’m not sure about that. The Sabres weren’t profitable much of the time under the Knox’s, Rigas’s, not enough to keep Golisano interested and not under Pegula. Anyone will say “But if the team was good”…but that’s still a maybe. We don’t even know if this market couldn’t sustain profitable sales numbers at higher prices. It’s just been so long since the market has been properly tested. And how long will it take to get the team good to find out?

Theoretically and historically, one year, maybe two. With this core roster.

However, that includes competent and aggressive ownership.

So in reality, who the (frank) knows.

Contracts are indeed legally binding. I'm sure washed has held plenty of them up before in the construction industry. It's the only piece of paper you need to call bullpoop.

So, no. Pegula can't legally move the team.

What a goalie show. Pretty good game. But wow the incompetence of the coaching staff is inconceivable.

Okposo shouldn't see the ice let alone the PP and top line. Completely useless player now. If he doesn't retire, WOW.

Why is Ryan Johnson not playing with one of Dahl or Power. Hes your 3rd best d-man.

Greenway should be playing 4th line full time.

EJ and Joker can go.

Clifton looking a lot better. Still an overpaid 3rd pair guy though.

Krebs looking better as well. Move him up in the lineup.

I feel nothing after losses anymore. They have broke me.

I feel like I've made this post before.

Move Tuch back. Mitts to Cozens line

First you have to truly gain the confidence of the community to spend their money. Then they have to withstand the necessary price increases(like the Bills have in recent years).

Lol nah mad at all of Buffalo for not being better

They recognize leadership and greatness but they don’t want to be near it because it makes them realize how mediocre they are.

I won a gene lottery from a sperm donor. I am lucky. But that’s a curse in today’s world.

Don't understand why Kulich or Rosen aren't getting a shot, Sabres aren't going anywhere

AZ probably has til the end of this season to show the league a plan for a new arena.
They’re going to be the team in Salt Lake if they don’t get an arena plan rolling soon.

I don’t see the Sabres moving after (if) pegs sells them. Any new owner would see a Hockey mad market that would throw buckets full of money at a competitive team, just do it right.
Pegs has turned the Sabres into the old Panthers, while growing nothing but apathy amongst his team’s fan base.

- Ratsreign

The have a massive arena problem to complicate things. With the Bill's stadium under construction, it's hard to imagine much money coming any time soon. It's a bit of death spiral. Prices goes up, arena gets worse, team keeps losing.

This is still a small market and breaking even is very difficult. They've driven fans away for years and they may not be quick to come back.

I hear ya.

I don't understand how these guy behind the bench or in the press box can watch Okposo out there with Tage and Skinner or on the PP this whole time and think its even remotely logical.

I've got people going to their second game of the year wondering wtf he's doing on the ice within two seconds of him playing. I have no answers for them.

My brother asks who runs the PP, I say Matty Ellis, he just shakes his head

We're almost to the point where they'll just say they don't want to burn a year on Kulich's deal. I think losing a half-season of experience in a blown season is gross mismanagement.

Just a matter of time for Rousek and Rosen. Bet at least one is up at the deadline + use a recall to get Kulich a few games.

JJ and Tuch were on for Cozens and Okposo for their PP goal.

An accidental combination was their best PP.

Anyone buys the Sabres they’re buying a club that loses 30 million a year. The Bills and the Peg’s deep pockets have been covering the loses. No one that has that kind of money is looking at Buffalo as a viable market. Unless they happen to have even more hubris and delusions of grandeur that they could throw even more money at this mess and do better. I just don’t see it.

He'll get a couple. I wanted to see him get 30+ this season.

They aren't setting themselves up well for next season if they don't get these guys meaningful time...unless they aren't part of the plan.

It’s not though.
Be good. People will show up. You make money. End.

Special event nights RJ, Miller etc sell out in seconds.

I’ve said it a million times though. It’s going to take being good for minimum a year for people to buy back in.

It's not a small market? Is that even in question?

I don't know how once in a generation events come into play. Dan Dunleavy night is not selling the place out in 50 years. Even if it did, does it matter?
