25-5-2 down the stretch gets them a playoff spot

Crazy to look at it. With games in hand, neck and neck with Ottawa. Closer to Columbus than a wildcard.

Good effort tonight, but is this their last push?

Definitely is. Now need 16 out of a remaining 20 points.

No more margin for error really.

This team just isnā€™t good. Mediocre would be acceptable but even last year they were awful.

I donā€™t care about Pegulaville and his moral victories, Sabretooth and his bandwagon, Quinnfan and his blinders, Washedup with his soapbox, Beady with his Suck Itā€¦.

This team is hot garbage and we can blame the guys behind the bench, in the rafters or down the 90 but the flat truth is these guys suck. A good team puts the lid down when they flush. The Sabres donā€™t even poop in the toilet.

Ever watch a pigeon play chess? Itā€™s graceful compared to this crap-dance extravaganza on ice called the Buffalo Tramp-Stamps.

Bah, humbug!

This is so true. Everything is on the line and they are at home with the black uniforms and they still cannot win. It is time for another coach, and has been for a long time. This team will never make the playoffs with the same leadership at the helm. Guaranteed!!!! Choke city!

Best team in the NHL is .73 points %. That pace would put them at 94.7, which is currently not enough to make the playoffs.

They don't need .8 for the rest of month, they need it for the rest of the season.

If that actually happens I will stop being a fan after 35 years. No (frank)ing way am I rooting for this team if they keep extending losers who suck at hockey and leadership.

Holy poop this made me laugh!
Memories of my friend back in college who at a party got drilled in the chest with a dart...it was deep.
He goes to the hospital to find out two other people went to the ER at that hospital from the same party...Nurses were quite impressed, wanted to come by later...Doctors were less than impressed or even amazed.
Funny poop!

This gif is my reaction to watching the Sabres ā€œplayā€ hockey. I donā€™t even feel pain anymore because they have cauterized my brain with terrible play and decision making

Iā€™ve seen crazier things happen in a 32 game sample.

Oilers were 13-15-1 a month and a half ago. I donā€™t think anyone had them going for 17 straight wins tonight on their bingo card.

Panthers had 52 points through 51 games last year and went to the cup final

Your wife is having an affair. Sheā€™s cheating on you.

Youā€™re telling yourself a gym membership and a new car lease to go with that fixed mortgage will win her back, but all itā€™s going to do is keep her around.

Youā€™re fine with this. You know youā€™ve lost her, but if you can just get a return on your cbo, you can buy her that new diamond for her wedding band.

This is called being a cuck. Congratulations, youā€™re a Sabres fan.

Comparing them to a team that went to a cup final and another that actually made a bold move and changed their (frank)ing coach because they were an embarrassment is most humorous when they've shown little signs of actually being a good team, and they refuse to fire their coach, who trots slow, old ass Okposo on the top line.

Now this is interesting. From my work computer today. NFL forgot they changed it from Ravens to Chiefs because Taylor Swift and still had the old graphic going around.

The conspiracy theory about the colors in the Super Bowl logo and the placement of the logos in this ad is pretty intriguing.

I wonder if Ratsreign thought on January 29th of last year that the 23-22-6 Florida Panthers would be Stanley Cup Final bound.

The Sabres team that showed up tonight was a team that resembled what I was expecting this season, it very well could be too late, but weā€™ll see what happens.

Iā€™ll have my mock draft up in March if they donā€™t go on a run here in February

Have you looked at a Curve of Draft selections with respect to "making" the NHL as defined by playing x (200) games?
It falls off extremely dramatic within the top 5 Picks, let alone 1st rounders.
Point is, there is a difference between 1-OA, 10-OA and on to 32nd....not all 1st rounders are the same. In fact, 32-0A is closer to #256 than it is to #15, maybe even 20th.

Without researching for accuracy,
D+1 is very, very good (once outside the top 3)
D2 is probably normal through the top 15
D3 is typical for 2nd rounders+

You are beating the poop out of Benson for staying in the show ... He's way, way ahead of schedule.

To your point, just a slightly different way of explaining it.

Did the Sabres have the most points in the league last season, like the Panthers did in the 22-23 season?

Do you think 92 points is getting the team to the playoffs?

If the Sabres win their next game, they'll have 50 points in 51 games played.

They'd need 42 points out of their remaining 31 regular season games just to hit 92 points, which most likely does not get them into the playoffs.

That would be winning roughly 20 of their final 31 games.

You're just delaying the inevitable and, like normal, taking forever to make a decision.

Is your name Kevyn Adams?

Let's go back to the opening sentence here, of I've seen crazier things happen, and you follow it up with referencing the Panthers from last season.

The Sabres rallying to make the playoffs at this point, with where they are, would be MUCH crazier then the Panthers rallying last season, given the Panthers recent seasons of successfully making the playoffs compared to the Sabres decade plus of suck.

It's humorous that you're an analytics guy, but you're clutching to hopes and dreams when it comes to the Sabres chances of making the playoffs.

Think it's time for the KA narrative to change from discussions to deferring on every decision. Players, Donnie, Terry...does he have any conviction?

Dahlin has become such a product of the Sabres organization, a shell of a hockey player, a corporate man.

Does anyone else hear a man with Down syndrome when he speaks? Heā€™s so dumb and Adams gave him $11mm per šŸ˜‚

Thought Tage looked like he was about to Blow. Would think that in that 3rd period Granato would put Tuch up there on Wing with Tage and Skinner. Most would put there supposed Best line back together for a few shifts to see if they could help in a 1 goal game. But I got to watch Okposo fall more than Girgensons while playing 1RW. And falling more than Girgensons is not a easy feet.
