Still not finalized, still details to be worked out, but all indications are that the Montreal Canadiens are trading Sean Monahan to the Winnipeg Jets

Agreed, 1st round prospects getting shipped for rentals...tough market for Adams.

what would eichel do with jost and girgens though?
- homiedclown

I would bring both up Kulich and Rosen and stick Eichel in the middle. Move JJ up with Tage.

Mitts has been better than both Lindholm and Monahan. He's gotta be getting calls Adams I would think.

None of this nonsense can be real, right...?

Why would they not move Zemgus in yet another lost season?

We've heard for years now that Olofsson is on his way out.

>>> Victor Olofsson will likely step into the lineup for now, but he’s living on borrowed time with the Sabres.

>>> If we go by Friedman saying that the Kings are looking for a depth player with an edge, the Sabres don’t have a lot to offer in that regard. Jordan Greenway could be the exact type of player the Kings are looking for, but I don’t see Kevyn Adams moving on from him.

>>> The next logical player that fits the need is Zemgus Girgensons. I don’t think he alone would be enough to acquire Kaliyev and I’m not sure if the Sabres would move him either.

Because the GM is actually very bad at his job.

He has a M-NTC which would be safe to assume Buffalo is on that list...also he is a UFA at the end of this season while Mitts is an RFA. Is Pitt looking for 0 compete, rely on talent, perimeter players seeking north of $7mm on their next contract?
- washedup20

I think with Guentzel, the only way it makes sense (presuming he waives which is unlikely but again just a hypothetical), is if he wants to sign the extension. I think he's a lot more valuable player to invest in if we're going to.

Do you think that's what GMs think of Mitts? I've been wondering, since the Lindholm trade, if he wouldn't garner a hefty return as well. He's no 40g scorer, but playmakers have value as well.

TSN just made it official. Wish we had a GM who could pull off selling some over paid bums for firsts and players

Actually liked the way Benson Krebs Robinson played together. They have a good Forecheck going, see if they could build some Offense of it.

I just meant, no reason to trade for him unless you wanna re-sign him right away. He'll be a free agent come the off season.

Why that line played good together, and this is just trying things out this year. Doesn't mean these are permanent. Especially when Quinn comes back.
