Do you think Adams is out looking for the end of the rainbow? Where is he hiding nowadays?
- washedup20

Well if he is, don't know what Rainbow he's looking at, because it's a Ugly one.

I wonder what cuck(frank)er is up to today besides (frank)ing nothing

I'm sure he's having conversations.

(frank) you Kevyn, so am I, and they're just as (frank)ing useful to the Sabres as yours.

I'm a broken record on this, I know, but the best stretch of hockey this team has played post Briere/Drury to date is the one where he was out of the lineup with injury, and there isn't even a close 2nd.
- buffalofan19

16-5-3 run to end the season to grab that 7 seed

enroth hot down the stretch

does roy get any credit for busting his hump in rehab for game 7

I think they were .500 for the 35 games he played before he got hurt that year

Players who have never played a winning season in the NHL in their careers:

Tage
Skinner
Mitts
Cozens
Quinn
JJ
Olo
Krebs
Girgensons

Dahlin
Samuelsson
Joker
Power
R Johnson
Bryson

UPL
Levi

17 players on the current roster have never experienced winning.

Adams plan, involves signing or already signed, long term for at least 10 of those listed players....absolute madness

- washedup20

Tage - 2 International Gold Medals
Skinner - WJ Gold Medalist and Hlinka Gold Medalist
Mitts - Tourney MVP of WJC
Cozens - International Gold and Silver Medals
Quinn -Sophomore Year
JJ - Sophomore Year
Olo - CHL Championship in 2017
Krebs - lots of personal awards, but very little team success

Looking just at the forward group, they've done a lot of winning, just not here. Some are off the hook due to age, I don't expect Quinn or Peterka to take us to the promised land as sophomores. Obviously both were very successful internationally as well.

zegras has produced about 25 percent better than cozens so far in the nhl and he is being shopped according to some

why is cozens avoiding that criticism

If you want to keep Mitts, then maybe he's the one you move. I would move Samuelsson, that gives you leeway even if you extend Mitts.

If we're going to write off every player that hasn't won the Cup, you're discounting the talents of most of the players in the entire league. It's how you end up with guys like Eric Johnson, who have "pedigree" and "winning experience". I mean, I think Iginla and Thornton are both HOFers, despite never getting a ring, just to name a couple.

Thomas is on pace for 90 points, so he's done more than any Sabre, outside Tage, in years.

Kind of just said the same to Homie, but if you only want players that won Cups, then you don't want 9/10 guys who play in the league.

Are these guys all HOFers or not?

Jarome Iginla
Marcel Dionne
Joe Thornton
Adam Oates
Dale Hawerchuk
Mats Sundin
Patrick Marleau
Mike Gartner
Phil Housley
Gilbert Perreault

If winning a Cup makes you great, what is Eric Johnson up to? I mean heck, Clifton made the SC Finals too...team success doesn't equate to player skill.

do you think thomas is the first line center and tage gets demoted to the second line?

doubt it

do you think they locked cozens up all these years to bury him, doubt it

I never brought a cup into this conversation but thomas was given the derek roy treatment after ror left and it became his team (number 1 center like roy after breire and drury left) and his team fails just as much as the sabres

again different zip code, same disappointment

just move casey or cozens to the wing and let kulich or savoie take the third line center slot since they refuse to give krebs a shot with decent wingers

if casey is the scapegoat and moved, it sends the wrong message in the locker room as he is producing better than anyone else and is probably our second most improved player aside from peterka

and someone like cozens, dahlin, power or samuelsson shou ld be the most improved player and instead they are the biggest disappointments
