I saw a swap, him for Benson, and while I don't like it, I don't absolutely hate it either. We really need a good RHD.

Benson is poop in a brown paper bag…just not lit on fire….yet.

Trade him.

Why the Benson hate?

Plays harder than 99% of the team. Has the 200 foot game of an established NHL player. Just isn't getting the bounces.

I’d rather have the RHD….i don’t hate him, he’s been irrelevant for over a month.

He’s the 2020’s version of Nathan Gerbe

I have No problem with Kevyn making a Call, he would be a very good fit. Columbus has a bunch of C prospects so we are probably looking at Kulich going the other way.

Kulich Rousek and Clifton get er done?

Gerbe was 4 years older till he produced in the NHL and never had the 200 foot game Benson does at 18 years old. Its really rare a kid looks this good defensively at his age.

For that reason I would not include him.

Kulich, Rosen, Savoie, 1st this year, etc. Should all be tried first.

No, it isn’t. Like I said, if he has any faith in the kicker he should have tied the game. It would’ve been a mental boost for his team who was struggling in the second half. Every shot they showed of a lions player’s face after SF took the lead they looked like they’d already lost the game. They were fighting it and were misfiring the whole half up until that point. Going for the tie would’ve been a better call considering how the game was unfolding.

if you trade for the guy, you are 2 years ahead vs drafting one in 2024 draft

and it should be win now mode

I still like Benny, but think he's Tyler Ennis, not Theo Fleury, so it's fine.

especially the loser with 6 accounts

Let me shove you from behind a couple feet from the boards and we'll see if you "know how to fall"

What a maroooon

- DirtyDan

Or we could stop rewarding players for turning their backs to oncoming players

Its not a hockey play, its a result of the NHL letting players use the boards as protection by deliberately turning their backs from a hit for quite some time now

No one takes a hit to make a play anymore. They wait untill the last second turn their back and either hope not to get hit or draw a penalty. To me it is no different than diving and it should be matching penalties to the boarder and boardee if they are deemed to have turned too late

Weak ass take. Maybe players should be taught to throw reverse hits instead of turning their backs

I think they planned to just cover him in lime and throw him in Los Gatos...let the river do the rest.

Kaliyev on the block?

That's a name worth kicking tires over. Not sure why LA would want to move him tbh.

- QuinnFan

Pass. The Sabres have enough prospects with? Questions They don’t need another one.

Again, another guy who was rated extremely high that is now under performing expectations.

A great example how talent doesn’t trump injuries.

Adams top 10 picks:

1) Power - 0 competitiveness
8) Quinn, who’s career is over after less than 100 games
9) Savoie - maybe we see an impact in 26/27.

I wouldn’t call any of those home runs.

His middle of the 1st round:

14) Rosen - bust
17) Ostlund - way to small
13) Benson - Canada’s Gerbe

Late 1st:

28) Kulich - Olofsson, but picked higher

Potential blinded some of y’all for so long, hopefully you have all used some clear eye and straightened out.

He's not a prospect, but has fallen from grace in LA, that's true. He's one I would take a chance on if the price is right. He's a big, defensively solid forward we could really use in the bottom 6.

If Kulich turns into a one trick pony like Olofsson, I will literally drink bleach and accept that I am now immune to Covid...I mean die.

HOWEVER

He isn't. He's so much better than Olo it isn't even fair to compare them. The only singular trait they both possess is the shot. The comparisons should stop there.

Quinn will score 30 goals next year. Put a substantial bet down, it's happening.

Where do you see Kulich in next seasons lineup?

As for Quinn, he has great talent…in a broken body. I like him but he makes Tim Connolly come off as Iron Man.

ROR from Colorado to Buffalo was the best Sabres trade of the past 15 years and the lesson we were conditioned to accept is that trades aren't worth it, when in reality, the lesson is: find better players than Scott Wilson, Benoit Pouliot and Jacob Josefsson
