Kansas City is actually going back to the Super Bowl, aren't they...
- buffalofan19

Yup, through the 1 & 2 seeds on the road.
Should shut everyone up.

Buffalo have been the 2nd best ream in the NFL twice in the last fours years.... and both times the defense has failed them

Disagree,
Kucherov distributes 95% of the time...loves to go:
Heddy coming down the top of the slot, Stammer in his Office for the 1-timer, and to the low slot as Point jumps in.
That's the key, the guys are moving getting into the designated area...not standing waiting for the pass through 4 guys.
Re-watch it...thing of beauty...trust me on it.

There is no way I'm going to go back and re-watch a Sabres game!

Feel like you're saying something very similar though. Their PP is driven opposite Stamkos. Sabres die opposite Tage. Cozens and Skinner are not threatening PP players. Just not their skillset.

David Jiricek to The Athletic:

“I played good hockey in the NHL. I’m an NHL player right now. That’s my opinion, that I should be in the NHL right now. I see guys from the same draft, like Simon Nemec and Korchinski… they get a chance on the power play.

(Continued) #CBJ

They play a ton of minutes in the NHL. Those are different teams, so different situations, but I can compare with them. I just want a chance to play like that.”

“They told me the last game was not good enough for me. I told them I don’t think so, but that’s your opinion…

I was out of the lineup after that. A whole month now, it feels like I haven’t played.”

Aaron Portzline adds “there was concern” that Jiricek would decline to report to AHL Cleveland.

More from Jiricek:

“The guys here in Cleveland are awesome. The coaches are awesome. It’s fun to be here now, because there’s a lot of winning. There’s a good energy. But still … this is not what I want, right?”

Think you just described Benson. He's worked there at times. If you don't threaten at all down low, that just never opens up.

Don't think this team takes the next step until there's a shakeup of their top 5. Would love a new coach as well. Just don't think Don is the guy.

Who is their top 5?

Dahlin, Power, Tage, Cozens, and Tuch?

By shakeup, you mean trading one of them?

However you want to define it. Dahlin, Tage, Skinner, Tuch, Cozens/Samuelsson/Power (depending on the situation).

Just a matter of time until there's a changing of the guard. Doesn't take a trade, just a coach willing to do it.

Is that the analytics department?

"I told them not to sign Erik Johnson but they went ahead and signed Erik Johnson and if they keep signing erik johnson... well then... I'm just going to have to burn the building down"

What does a changing of the guard mean if there isn't a trade involved?

Not obvious?

One or two of the prospects breaking into the top 5 and taking 1st line minutes, PP, and key situations.

They didn't draft all these kids to play secondary roles forever.

Now I understand what you are saying.

I'm likely alone on this island: I don't think any of their prospects are 1st line players, and I only think one of them tops out as a 2nd line player.
