I went to Tuesdays game, sat in 101, row 13. 2 things stuck out right away. The god dang music is pumped in so loud it actually was hurting my ears. I suppose they do that because ya know like 10K ppl were there.

2nd, the hype girl they have is absolutely awful.

Lastly, the product on the ice is just, well unwatchable. I had a feeling they would regress from last year with scoring but holy hell, they look like the tank teams.

Why would the nhl allow buffalo to have a team after they lost a team due to lack of attendance?

That doesn’t make sense to me

The product is terrible and the home fan experience is brutal . I’ve sold almost half of the remaining games , to avoid going at this point……

Still a fun night out with family and friends , but the game is very secondary

Why would they allow Atlanta for a third time? Yet they seem to be doing just that

Yeah, a $390M tax break for building a new arena is a big deal.

Right?

And then magically, everyone is going to return to the arena and support an expansion team?

If the Sabres leave , there will be no new franchise anytime soon

Wish for what you want, crazy thought wanting this franchise gone lol

- Boss34

Not wishing for it... but if it happens it going to happen, im not spending one (frank)ing cent to stop it, in their current state. Maybe if they moved the next owner will actually give a poop.

What does that have to do with no one going to their games the two prior times they tried a team there?

Was just responding to the statement that it looks like it's happening.

As far as their viability, I think a lot of the issues with the Thrashers stemmed from being awful the entire time. They missed the playoffs almost every year. With the new expansion rules, they'd be a lot better. The Flames moved due to finances, so that wouldn't be an issue...third time could actually be the charm.

When OG owner Turner sold the team, it was a package deal involving the arena, the Hawks and the Thrashers. Then the new ownership group turned around and didn’t want the hockey team competing with their b-ball team, (I guess). They had local investors wanting to buy and remain in Atlanta, They had the only arena in town and would only offer prospective new owners insanely unfriendly deals to play there. I think The League would’ve tried to keep them there, but they had no alternative local arena.
They were never very good, and in the end they were sabotaged by their ownership.

Sometimes its hard to remember this is a professional sports franchise. They certainly don't act like it

It should be over for adams, and granato should have been fired by Thanksgiving

Why do some of the best most passionate fans in hockey continue to be subjected to this

I get it.
I wouldn't pay a red cent for Seasons, but I had them myself for several years (4). I just don't enjoy the experience like I used to. I've turned down many a ticket for the Bolts too.
85" TV with a new Lazy-boy recliner with cost friendly Bourbon is the way to go for me.

I appreciate this post lol😄

I just really enjoy going to the games, this is the first year I’ve actually sold all my tickets and skipped a few games. (Not including scheduling conflicts) i usually make 35 of 41 home games. I’ve missed probably 5 already and sold 5 or 6 more down the stretch. Just sold the Eichel game this morning …..::

The hockey sucks, the arena is really beat down, but it’s fun to have a few beers at the pearl, pizza plant, the Old 716 and cobblestone. Then the puck drops and the arena music is on 11 out of 10.

Sucks that they've beaten you down like this.

Coaching change and smart move or two and this should be a playoff team next season. Not sure I trust the guy in charge though, and he'll probably stick with Donnie.

UPL might be the guy. Johnson's play is the huge for them going forward. Benson, JJ, and Quinn all look like solid middle six guys. Just strange how the question is suddenly the top line. Wish they didn't have to wait for contracts to end to make changes.

Market size. There's no upside in Buffalo from a business perspective.

Sabres scouting Calgary for the second game in a row.

And one of our assistant GM’s is scouting Vancouver/Boston tonight (I would presume either could be a E Johnson destination)

There's no upside in not getting any business, either. You can have the biggest market you want, but if they're not buying your product it's not worth a damn, is it?
