This is still nonsense, even with the season we're having. We've had a lot of injuries in the top6 and our coaching took a nose dive. There's no reason, with a healthy team and positive coaching, that this team can't just make the playoffs but go far.

If I was the next GM, I'd need three good defenders, a defensively sound 4th line and a halfway decent coach to win a Cup. That's about it.

Really?

Really, really.

Every single team has injuries. It’s not an excuse.

We were talking about regression all summer. It was clear that it was going to come. They scored way way over expected last year

If Ralph wasn’t so bad Don Granato wouldn’t be here.

He went 9-16-3 as interim and everyone thought he was amazing because he wasn’t Ralph.

They are still scoring above expected, not too the extent, but nonetheless.

The problem was they didn’t decide until about 7 games ago that they were going to stop neutering themselves.

Even last night, they outplayed Seattle. Levi couldn’t make a save, Daccord stole a few himself.

Made the score look worse then it was

We really need to stop blaming the players in the top 9 and 1st/2nd pairings.
The blame lies squarely on
-Adams for not recognizing the signs of Girgs, Jost Oko failing and signing 2 D that don't resolve the need, as well as not bringing in a bonafide G.
- Granato for not upgrading all of his Staff, failing to have the ability to implement a structured system for play without the puck, finding the proper combinations

As 36 has said, there is enough talent but are being held back

UPL plays a great game, maybe steals 2 points and he goes back to Levi the next game. The coaching is really killing this team.

They have zero clue on how to play Defense...play without the puck...what to do, where to go.

Case and point. He has a worse win % than Dan Byslma.

Byslma .485
Granato .483
Kruger .433

Only one of these guys was allowed to coach more than 2 years.

People should be able to tell its not the players by now... O'Reilly leaves CUP, Eichel leaves CUP, Ullmark wins the Vezina, Reinhart playing out of his gawd damn mind, Evan Rodgrigues has been good everywhere he goes since leaving here.

I could go on and on. The only bum has been Risto.

The only two teams with a lower special teams %share than the Sabres this year are the two teams blatantly tanking.

But the assistants don’t get fired.

Then we got Dahlin back with Samuelsson again at practice this morning. Calling Donnie a Meatstick is becoming extremely offensive to Meatsticks now.

A mason de-gloved his pinky today core drilling into a concrete block wall. The bone went with it, along with his tendon all the way up to his elbow. I’ve seen a lot of injuries, that was the grossest I’ve ever witnessed….still not as bad as watching this Sabres team.

I've unfortunately got the tickets for Saturday and a company is taking a bunch of us to the Monday game... I really want to bring signs and the whole yard to throw at them.

When the Panthers top players are out they don't have Tyson Jost playing on line 1.

daily lineups are not as good as they could be, which falls on the coach and gm

d pairings, falls on the coach
line combos up front all falls on the coach

how a goalie stops 41 of 42 shots, then sits on the next game, 3 days later, I will never understand

even miller got an extra night off when enroth had a solid start

I had 2’ steel drill-bit with a finger in a twisted shredded glove wrapped around it, in the front seat of an Uber when I took him to the hospital (quicker than an ambulance- 5 minute drive to mount Sinai) they are going to to put it back on.
