Even if they could pull that off. Real question if they can add that money, without moving some out. Maybe if Mitts + Joker were also part of it.

Somebody already brought it up, but Samuelsson being part of a deal for Andersson makes sense.

If it interests you here is this site. If Savoie played a full season he would be leading the league.

Its impressive at 2.18 and would be the league's leading scorer but I actually think Geekie's stats are more impressive than Savoie's. Geekie has made huge strides.

The above is where I was going re: Geekie.

With his size, who would you rather have right now?

Long way to go this season for their team, but it might be Geekie for me at this point.

Stankoven the year before went late second round and is dropping his nuts on the AHL this year.

2023 and NHL GM’s still haven’t figured out short kings

Makes sense.

It's all just much tougher now. KA couldn't make a good trade with cap space, draft picks, and prospects all in hand.

I would rather have Geekie.

Unfavorable opinion I think Savoie has bust potential but we will see.

How about Poltapov and Kisakov. Probably two busts and Buffalo could have drafted anyone in the second round.

Although Poltapov looks ok this year neither will probably be NHL regulars.

Geekie has the higher floor, Savoie has the higher ceiling to me.

Savoie has speed to burn, reminds me a lot of Barzal in that regard

Yeah that pissed me off too.

I don’t think anyone was happy with that pick

They are completely different style of players. I just think Buffalo could use Geekie's style of play over Savoie.

Didn't he go on like a 15 game pointless streak?

I will take Knies over both of them but hindsight is 20/20 so its easy to say

How about Josh Doan? Shame Doan's son

Chibrikov is having a great rookie season in the AHL zo is Zellweger

Hindsight is easy re: Knies, but I'm glad you mentioned Zellweger, as he's one of three that were available at the Sabres first 2nd round pick that were much talked about leading up to the draft.

Instead, they picked the Russians, as they thought they had an advantage due to their scouting staff and the pandemic.

Whoops.

Zellweger was definitely the pick at that spot.

Imagine another small player though in the pipeline ?

Rivet and Peters are already stroking out now

Zellweger and that kid that Philly drafted are playing well, think Doan has 2 points.

Don Granato said no lineup changes for the Sabres, aside from in goal. UPL got the starter's reps in practice yesterday.

Not sure of the backup goalie, but we know Jokiharju, Jost and Robinson will be scratched.

Wouldn't mind seeing Robinson over Olofsson, but whatever.
