Yeah I’m down here for 2 more weeks, I haven’t been over to it yet but I will definitely check it out.

If you’re nearby check it out, but don’t go out of your way as it seems it may not be open to the public yet. I guess you can go watch them practice, but the rest of the venue isn’t yet 100% completed

“Looking ahead, Caldwell said the Panthers are planning to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for FTL War Memorial in early 2024. Around that time, more information on the facility being open to the public, as well as news on upcoming hockey and skating programming, should be available.
Down the road, the facility will also feature a ballroom style concert performance venue.”

Go watch most games they Won, they used there speed and were aggressive on the puck, and actually went to the net somewhat. One of the biggest assets the Sabres have is there Speed, when they use it in all 3 zones to there advantage, there a pretty deadly team. When they don't use there Speed they become a horrible Defensive Team cause they get caught in there zone to much.
- Buff36

Biggest difference from last season is how they have been exiting their own zone.

Last season, they consistently exited with speed and the puck.

This season, they're just chipping it out far, far too often, and the result has been the opposition getting the puck right back and into the Sabres zone quickly, and frequently scoring.

They also scratch their best puck moving d-man every three games and the forwards are blowing the zone way too early.

Just absolutely no cohesion at all.

Conor Geekie, selected 2 picks later by Arizona, is doing the same.

The point: Isn't Savoie supposed to be producing like he is in his D+2 season after being drafted?

I mean, it’s not his fault he couldn’t get an exemption to play in the AHL where he should be right now

Nice to see the coaching staff going back to the system that had the Sabres finish 1 point out last season

Despite the same idiot calling for a defensive system upgrade all summer.

- Boss34

Doesn't that make the idiot Donnie? That seems a little harsh for you. It's Christmas.

He's producing as to expectations for a top 10 pick 2 years removed from his draft, playing in Juniors.

It'd be quite disappointing if he wasn't producing the way he is this season in Juniors.

Controversial opinion: I'd sell high on either or both of Savoie and Kulich if it'd help the team long term.

If Lindy Ruff gets fired and Buffalo hires him I would immediately buy tickets to the first game.

Haven't been to a game in 5 years.

Good thing he is then ?

I’m confused as to what your point is here.

Back to back 90 points seasons, on pace for over 90 again with half the amount of games played.

He can’t control the fact he wasn’t born a day later

He hasn't exploded to the point he's a must keep, at least for me.

He's still trade bait, for me. Kulich as well.

Fair enough.

The caliber of player I’d move them for very rarely becomes available, at least one with term.

Time will tell

Yes he should and he's doing it at a 2.13pt per game pace. Not my fault are GM is a idiot.

Actually no he isn't. Savoie is producing at a higher rate in a low scoring WHL.

Savoie scoring 2 points a game in the WHL his very rare. his point per game average is best in 15 years.

This isn't the QMJHL.

Especially in the WHL. Kong is wrong on this one.

Savoie's PPG average is probably top 5-10 in the last 15 years.

True, and applying pressure as the come up the ice and not giving up the line as much would help there.

What would that trade look like? They have a lot of long term money committed and are apparently still on a budget. That doesn't leave much room to manuver next summer.

Not gonna say that, and if it was a nice enough piece coming back I would use Savoie in a trade myself.

If you averaged it out over a full WHL season the only person to outscore at this pace in the last 3 years is?

Connor Bedard.
