Boss LOVES to use micro periods of time to validate his gargantuan takes based on hockey magazine articles.

Lol, think about it, it took hime 32 games into an 82 game season to find a 5 game sample size to proclaim Adams a genius for failing in his 6 month search to upgrade the G position.

Typical uncle ion

Goal scoring is the problem , not goaltending

We just lost 2-0

Levi has been excellent lately as well

In 2023-2024? A lot better.
NHL average would be better

Long term Potential?
No telling really, but looks pretty promising assuming linear growth.

In a season they claim is critical to make the playoffs for the current and future sake of the franchise, I'd say was reckless at best. They could have, and frankly should have done better....MUCH better.

- IonSabres

Agreed they should do better, but would Hellebucyk have us in the playoffs? I think not. The additions needed to come at RHD and so far both have been absolutely trash. I thought Clifton would be better, but EJ was a known anchor. They signed him anyways. We need 2 good d-men, to get healthy and three good bottom 6 players to replace Okposo/Girgs/Jost. Do that and we're in a lot better shape. A goalie might sweeten, but that's where the big impact will come from.

This is relatable in reference to Meatball forcing defensive play:

Tortorella had a lot to say about Travis Konecny, the main gist of which was that, in coaching TK, he has to resist the push to overcoach. "I think you can coach him into being an average player."

Tortorella said he often can't bear to watch TK from the bench because some of the things he does drive a coach crazy. Tortorella has to let a lot go unless it starts to get too far afield, then he'll step in (eg: TK was benched for 9+ mins late 2nd/early 3rd in game in PIT).

Tortorella said he's surprised that TK never killed penalties before last year. He asked to do it, but admitted he'd never done it before. Took adjustment but now he's a very good PKer.

The bolded is meatball.

Yes they would have done better with Hellebuyck, at the expense of not signing E Johnson, Clifton, Jost and Bryson. Let alone the additional $5mm extra they could have not resigning Girgs and Okposo.

There was plenty of money and opportunity to bring him in.

Then what do you do the next 7 years as he’s making $8.5M a year with a NMC ?

And keep in mind, last three teams to win a cup won it on an expiring contract.

They could have traded for him before he signed that 7 year Contract and he would have been playing on a Expiring contract.

So we sell off assets that apparently no other team were willing to give up either for 12 months of a goalie ?

Hellebuyck doesn’t score goals, our goaltending hasn’t been in the top 5 of issues with this team right now.

No, I didn't say that. But the fact of the matter is the contract doesn't matter. He could have been had before it. And yes right now, it has during the season so far though.

This clown should be banned for an incredibly long period of time for this reckless behavior.

>>> Former Sabres Defenseman Lawrence Pilut has a very close call. Martin Frk swings his skate up recklessly toward Pilut’s neck. Frk was suspended for 5 games. We are just a month removed from Adam Johnson losing his life when his carotid artery was cut

With the Sabres in midst of this historic drought, here’s how it stands:

Terry Pegula - entire time
Kevyn Adams - entire time
Girgs - entire time
Okposo - 8 years

Terry is clearly the worst owner in hockey….by a long shot.

The 3 below Terry have all underperformed every single season they have been in Buffalo, at every position they have been put in. This isn’t just disappointment type of failure, it’s organizational destruction level of failure.

Terry is awful, Adams, Girgs and Okposo hold significant responsibility for the worst stretch of hockey in the history of the sport, and at year 13 of failure….those are the people in charge.

This is truly the most pathetic group of professionals in the history of hockey, when it comes to this sport they are so brutally stupid.

The Sabres continue to employ unqualified people, and tbh the list is growing not shrinking, so why would their playoff chances increase?

Toilet bowl of the East tonight, the Sabres annual favorite game!

Would you rather have:

Mitts/Cozens/Levi/UPL - results with this group have been and continue to be failure

Cozens/Kulich/Hellebuyck/Levi

Mitts/Kulich/Hellebuyck/Levi

Before Adams spent all that money on spare parts, you could’ve signed him long term and moved in 3 years if Levi becomes the guy.

There are thousands of possibilities, Adams follows the direction of the magic conch shell though:
