They didn't really throw him on the 4th line did they?

Same.

Did you get in on the American Steel stock ($X) play today? I loaded up on puts, I don't think the deal is going to close.

- washedup20

Sold a block of nearly $200K right after the open for a handful of our clients. Managed to get over $50.02 per share but I know it was trading higher in pre-market.

It’s nearly impossible to play options in my role so I don’t, any orders I place have to go in at end of day to ensure I don’t get in before a client.

Either that or I play micro caps that we wouldn’t hold in our models for my dopamine fix.

No way. Come on, it's the Sabres ffs! We will most certainly get healthy, start playing amazing and miss the playoffs by 3-5 points so GMKA can justify the decision leave the roster unchanged again.

Serious talk though, these are positive steps. If we even get back on the right track, I'll be happy. Wasted year, but still important games to play.

- QuinnFan

Sounds about right.

We do need to make some external additions forsure. But I believe in the talent in the room and the prospects we have coming up more then most

Bulk that boy up on garbage plates and keep him in Roch. He's a tiny fast defenseman who isn't offensively inclined and is way too small to shut down the opposition. Took them way too long to realize he isn't NHL material.

Good for him for getting a few mil as a nest egg tho

now everyone will rag on him because he should be scoring more...
- gordong

Realistically i don’t see him coming back to 100% this season.

Achilles are a tricky injury. His speed burst won’t be the same or back completely

But Adams knows damn well he hasn't upgraded the roster enough so he can't just blame it on Granato and move on.

And Terry won't fire his boy Kevyn so we're stuck with the whole crew

- Hank Balling

When a majority of the roster has significantly regressed though, that’s on the coach.

The writing was on the wall with last year's absurd shooting percentages - they needed to guard against offensive regression and opted not to. They also didn't properly address the d or goalie positions, or depth forward.

I will agree Granato has his faults but this is at least as much on Adams as it is Donny

Shooting percentage regression is one thing.

They struggle to generate shots, that’s something completely different

Yeah, Granato over corrected toward defense and he doesn't have the horses to play that game

Take my Little Niece down there, she just got her next belt in Karate! Can kick them all in the Nuts as they Walk out for Pre-Game Skate. F@ckers wouldn't be sleeping anymore to open games.

LoL, and have her wear her uncle’s work boots

They might just need a better pregame dj

Definitely dumb but I think he was just trying to flip himself over with his leg.

If intentional, suspend this bum forever. If not, I guess 5 games sends a message to be less reckless.

- TheSabresTaco

Hahaha no way this was one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen

Dude clearly tried kicking him multiple times, that video footage is telling.

I dont think Don Granato is the problem here but I do find it notable that other teams act like losing is a problem by firing their coaches and the Sabres act like a perennial playoff team when they are in fact still in the middle of the longest playoff drought in LEAGUE HISTORY

Any comment Terry

- Hank Balling

I think Granato is clearly a great development coach. He has a very unique ability to identify talent and refine it and shape a player more towards his ceiling than not.

But he shouldn’t be coaching men over the age of 23. He isn’t a great leader, he isn’t a commanding force and he doesn’t know how to stop coddling men.

He was the right guy to wash the Krueger stank off. But he should be coaching tweeners in the international and development leagues, because that’s what he is good at.

I know youre being facetious, but to be clear, I genuinely don't mean to poop on him and I certainly hope he does well. that's a tough injury though and it may take some time. I wish they had added a plan B
- Hank Balling

They did but he got stealth traded to Detroit for an unconditional hand job by a mother of KA’s choice at season’s end.

How much better of a situation could the Sabres be in net?

Levi/ upl has been good

That’s hardly a bad offseason move imo

We just glossing over the .863 of Comrie in 7 games?

And the .901 and .898 of UPL and Levi?

I'd call it barely survivable. They got what they should have expected - mediocre at best

UPL's little hot streak and Levi's last 3 games make it look better that it is.

UPL can't stay healthy and is still inconsistent. Levi is young and shouldn't have been counted on. Comrie - God bless his soul - sucks.

In 2023-2024? A lot better.
NHL average would be better

Long term Potential?
No telling really, but looks pretty promising assuming linear growth.

In a season they claim is critical to make the playoffs for the current and future sake of the franchise, I'd say was reckless at best. They could have, and frankly should have done better....MUCH better.

Boss LOVES to use micro periods of time to validate his gargantuan takes based on hockey magazine articles.

Lol, think about it, it took hime 32 games into an 82 game season to find a 5 game sample size to proclaim Adams a genius for failing in his 6 month search to upgrade the G position.

Bring on Berube and punt Granato back to an assistant coach. Bring in a real D coach and PP coach.

Comrie was here for both Levi’s injury/ rehab and upls sickness. He blows.

Upl has played pretty well
Levi has played pretty well
