It’s been a mess for too long. A serious shake up is needed. It might take moving past some players many of us don’t want to let go. The entire coaching staff needs to be flipped, GM needs to go, ownership needs to go.
The culture is so farked, minor tweaks will not correct this.
I used to think I had some idea of what easy fixes looked like. I’m not sure I do anymore

What system do they play, that the coach employs?

I can't tell when watching them.

Can you tell?

Can anyone tell?

Looks like they just wing it every night.

- kingcong39

Well when they use there Speed Pressure game it usually works out pretty well. When they Forecheck hard or Back check using there Speed they seem to win. When they Don't they seem to lose.

Looked like it was the scene from the Blindside movie.

Fantastic!

>>> I can’t stop watching this play. #Bills LT Dion Dawkins drove his man 20 yards down the field on this play. 😳

Cook moved up to 3rd place behind McCaffery and Hill in total yards from Scrimmage with 1,410yrds now. And Allen became the 1st QB in NFL history with atleast a rushing and throwing TD in 10gms in one Season. Allen I believe only needs 16 more Rushing TD's to catch Newton for most Rushing TD's by a QB.

Timo Meier has had a very rough start to his Devils career.

Even the moves that seem like slam dunks, don’t always work out.

- Swedish_Jesus

Excellent point, agree completely. Devils seem to be struggling to find their identity and Meier is feeling the same pressure. No points in last six games, 11 points on the season and is the highest paid forward. Sounds eerily similar to half our roster of underachieving, overpaid, pushovers

The Sabres have had a few consistent pieces during the drought:

Zemgus Girgensons
Kyle Okposo
Kevyn Adams
Pegula ownership

Well one of these isn’t changing. The other 3 have been here the majority of the drought.

What this team really needs is someone with zero connections to this team or city, a big core shakeup and a serious front office overhaul.

So none of that will happen. They will keep Granato and Adams and stay the course. So to anyone still watching, seriously, for what reason?

This season has been a waste. No career years, regression top to bottom and horrible coaching, asset management and accountability.

It's obvious at this point that their only chance to win is when Murray in the lineup. He is the only one to pass the earthquake test:

Cause there our Hockey Team and if some People would get there Heads out of the A$$es there's enough pieces here to Ice a good Hockey Team. Your list is spot on and think the Top 2 are the easiest to change. They need someone like you said from the outside that changes the Culture and thinking. Someone brought up Stamkos, isn't who is used to be, but I doubt he's talking Auras and Cookies in the Lockeroom when sh!t is happening and some Balls need to be kicked.

Wait...wait...wait.

Just backreading now...we're blaming that game on UPL bc of the behind the net goal?

We didn't score guys...

The Arizona Coyotes shut us out in a stadium that sits 13 people comfortably. 2.53xGA and we're still blaming goalies for shutouts against. This is reaching cult status.

It's startling sometimes how far the scapegoating goes here.

Here's a question, should we get Berube behind the bench before he's taken?

Hate to say it, but not a big fan of 2/3 of those trades. Konecny is about equal to Mitts at this point, no sense giving up two more firsts. I don't get the fixation on Boone Jenner either tbh. Andersson trade is good, I'd make that one in a heartbeat. Just not sure if the other two aren't just making changes for the sake of making them. Mitts has been one of our better players, so I'm not sure Konecny improves the overall win record any, if at all. Giving up on (2) 1sts should mean we get a pretty massive upgrade.

Would you take all 3?

Agreed on the mitts trade that one seems to be lopsided a bit for Philly

The andersson trade if its available should have been made yesterday

As far as depth goes im not trading Greenway for it. Im moving out one or all of girgensons jost and olofsson however possible if they can't be in the trade for the depth.

Who are we kidding though. They are simply going to let this season slip away. At this point does anyone really believe they were trying to win this year?

They have a kid leading the AHL in scoring but isn't good enough to fill a scoring role when skinner gets hurt.

Resigned all the 4th liners but 30 games into the season had to trade for a 4th liner. Its (frank)ing embarassing

Konecny has scored 20 goals 3 times, 30 goals once and is on his way to another 30 goal season. Mitts highest scoring season is 15....bro it's not close.

Mitts being the best player on this crappy team means nothing. It's a massive upgrade on the scoresheet and in personality/intangibles the Sabres need.

You have seen the value of 5 1st round picks these past 2 seasons, it's not as high as you'd imagine outside the top 10.
