Hahaha. And pay 2 shmilly for a 1500 sq ft house that I can pull with a truck in a Toronto suburb.

Leaf fans have nothing besides you guys are mean to Tavares boohoo. Since he’s signed in Toronto they have won a whole one playoff series as compared to our six. That’s all they have to whine about. JT is a great player but his signing along with that team have been an absolute failure so far. It’s undeniable.

It’s hysterical. I have always disliked the Leafs since I have been a hockey fan. It has nothing to do with Tavares. Wish the guy stayed we would have been a better team for it. He may have even won a cup by now. With that said him leaving wasn’t as impactful as any of us were thinking it would be. I don’t think there are many if any lamenting over his departure anymore. It’s just fun to boo him because it gets Leaf fans panties in a bunch and who doesn’t like pissing off Leaf fans?

I think he’s gonna glob onto a team to get his cup. He’s gonna take a huge discount too.

Depends on where Mrs. Tavares tells Pajama Boy they are going to live.

I disliked the Leafs since Tucker, Corson, Roberts and Pat Quinn. How could you not?

They just made my existing dislike worse. I think most hockey fans would agree it’s less the players and more the fans that make you hate them. Even Islander and Ranger fans can unite in their dislike for the Leaf fanbase. That’s not some new thing they have always been hated.

Yeah it’s crazy how little you guys care about Tavares. You hardly ever talk about him

Sorokin is a vezina candidate
Dobson perhaps a Norris
Barzal and horvat have high end skill
Those are the pieces teams need to win and build around. If this team can figure out how to play with a lead they could be dangerous in a wide open east

Now that I think about it, has a guys whole team came on the ice to celebrate a 1000th point before? Genuine question.
- potvin05

They apparently asked permission beforehand but personally I think they only did it to stick it to Islanders fans after he got roasted his first game back.

Islanders should be a tough out if they make the playoffs Upstate. This should be a better team that lost to the Canes last year. If the defensive plays improves and Lee and Palms remain healthy, it could be very interesting. Team is faster and tougher to defend.

Hey, don’t forget they made it to the 2nd round that one time since he has been there. Well worth the 77 million dollar investment.

Won the same number of series there with a much better team as he did here.

Are you talking about the same Islander team this thread was talking about this off season?

Lot has changed with Holmstrom showing more promise and Pierre and Gauthier adding speed. Dobson has taken a big step forward. Lee and Palms are also showing good things. We cannot get ahead of ourselves, but things are looking better. Injuries and age are still a concern.

I really like reilly and the bortuzzo pick up was key. Not sure how long pulock and pelech will be out but those are good short term solutions. I could see Reilly sticking in the lineup when those guys return

Islanders have suffered some tough injuries and have also found some nice pickups. I did not think this was a bad team coming into the season. The question was and is how far can this team go. One thing about Lane is he seems open with going with younger talent and sitting players when needed.
