Krebs to me has shifted back to being less noticeable overall and when you do see him, it's more positive than negative. certainly way more than in october. his relative numbers support that.

The way the Flyers are playing and the positive culture change that’s occurring… I don’t think the Flyers are subtracting + players from their lineup. Jones and Briere have done great work thus far and that team is very difficult to play against. Jones-Briere- Torts seems to be working very well together

does torts shelf life last longer on this go around?

The Okposo leadership era coming to an end is the biggest improvement that I can realistically hope for from Adams.

Players I would target in UFA:

-Stamkos
-Skunk

The needed dmen and goalie will have to come through trades, which I don't have the faith in Adams to spend to get.

- washedup20

Stamkos to BUF part 2? I'm not sure my heart can take it. Sad to say, but he's still one of my favorite players in the league. Really battled through bad injuries to still have a HOF career.

well first reaction is he sticks because adams is a coward.

real answer is (should be) let's see how the season plays out. He's still developing but hasn't shown he's anything but replaceable. And if that's the case, and this team practices what they preach, then he should be replaced. But I certainly have no confidence in that happening.

what a (frank)ing big sack move that would be. my god.

I'd FA/FO and trade Skinner, retain 3M and sign Stammer 8Mx 3 years.

Hathaway was a FA in the summer and Konecny was supposedly on the trade block. Both could have been added before the season started. But Adams had to fulfill his BBQ duties and took the summer off.

The reason Krebs plays the minutes he does is because the org does not believe he has the skills to develop in the top 6. All you really need to know.

Yeah, I think that would please many of us. We do need one big Richard move here. While I obviously love me some Rhino, I don't want to pay him for this year's 30% shooting percentage.

I am in full agreement with you. I mentioned Hathaway after last season and I have always liked Konecny. Briere was ready to move TK, and our GM was asleep at the wheel… as usual. Apparently GMKA was stockpiling cap space for a few more plugs or players who are beyond their expiration dates.

Good question. I hope it works for him, I like his style and honesty. His track record says he will probably wear out his welcome, though

A big Richard move should be followed up by a big balls move, hence Stamkos and Skunk.

LLTom knows what I'm talking about.

Probably not, but he did speak very highly of Adams and actually called him before his first game back in the city. According to the kid, he's got a lot of respect for him and the "people still here", so I don't think he's as mortified of this place. At least he won't be making any Jail shirts, Leino style, anytime soon.

Unless the tandem bicycle and his crony Jack Eichel are included…coke sales would certainly improve around the greater Buffalo area

well over half the board wanted him gone last year... shows how much most on here really know.
- gordong

Peterka?
Ya, I don't think so...it was questioned if being on L2 was the best thing for him and the team.
Gone? No.

The NHL sabotaged this kid. Nice.

He's been going to the Dots now. Started in the AHL Stint.

Did this actually happen? Can't find an article. I'm a little pissed if so. He should Fleury this thing, we'll pay the fines.

Yes, Levi can now mediatate in the face off circle , not the middle of the ice where they shovel between whistles.

This could be the changing point in his career

I don't know why I'm so angry about this. Like, it isn't a huuuuuge deal, but show me the rule that says I need to move for the ice scrapers. After that, explain why me sitting on the faceoff dot is somehow better, in any conceivable way.

"1. Victor Olofsson has had a long year. Go back to the spring of 2023, when Olofsson was a healthy scratch in some of the Sabres’ most important games. Over the summer, Olofsson was the subject of trade rumors and wondered where he would be playing this season. Then he got to training camp with the Sabres just after he and his wife had their first child, in early September. Olofsson was on top of the world away from the rink but ended up in a similar spot in the lineup. He was often a healthy scratch.

But in the past month, Olofsson has been one of Buffalo’s best offensive players. After not getting a point in October, Olofsson had 9 points in 11 November games. Since re-entering the lineup on Nov. 4, he leads the Sabres in points per 60 minutes. He has two goals in his first four games in December, including Buffalo’s third goal in Thursday’s win. It was a perfect shot off the rush and a much-needed insurance marker for Buffalo.

Last week, Olofsson mentioned it’s tough to contribute in the way he’s used to when he’s getting eight or nine minutes a night. So he has tried to focus on doing little things right in those minutes to build confidence in his game. Now the points are coming, and Olofsson’s game looks more complete, too. Against Boston, he dropped down to block a shot and broke up another play in the defensive zone. More than anything, Olofsson, who scored 28 goals last season, is glad to be contributing within a group of teammates he’s grown close with over the years.

“I love it here,” Olofsson said last week. “I love everyone in the organization. It’s a business. It’s tough if you’re not playing a lot. But I can’t ask for anything more than I’m getting right now."
