Your strong outsider opinion originaly claimed Marky had negative value not MEH and thats what I am disagreeing with. The Devils have some CAP space to work with and using it to improve their goaltending is the best use of that space. Putting Marky in their net makes them much better and thats not really arguable!

Getting a Tanev or another strong defender would be better for them. Their G is fine, it's their defense that needs work. Between cap, NMC, contract, and his stats the last 2 years... Marky does have negative value. He's about the 30th ranked G right now according to stats. No one is paying 6M for what equates to an average goalie, let alone giving up any assets for it.

If you're going to factor in last year in the analyses its only fair to factor in his Vezina finalist year 2 years ago too.... but whatever we can agree to disagree on this all day long if you want.

IDK. They need to raise Vladars trade value. They can only do that by giving him starts.

I think so far neither looks great, nor does one look like Campbell. Rotate until one grabs the reigns. Figure out if the team is a keeper capable of taking them to the playoffs or if one takes them to the lottery. Decide what direction that guy carries you and where you want to go. Wolf is obviously the future, but do you ruin him playing for a rebuild or redo with him in there? or do you use him as a backup to build him up until ready to compete after the re do? 6 of one, half dozen of another.
