They put a lot of thought into why they play specific players and they always have these little reasons to do so. They played a few games ago with 11/7, I think that was the Toronto game because they didn't want EJ to be exposed in EV but needed him against a great PP (my opinion)

There was a big xG sequence in third against Johnson and Dahlin that skewed this. He was 60% xG going into the third. Dahlin 54%.

They won’t scratch E Johnson due to penalty kill but could be a good way of lowering his 5v5 time further.

Allows R Johnson to be sheltered further.
