Who would've ever imagined a year ago that Adams might've made a mistake signing Cozens long term before Mittelstadt

I didn’t like the Cozens extension then and I still don’t now.

Why ? Cozens is 2 1/2yrs younger and already did more.

Even with the recent poor 4 game stretch he’s had he’s still one of our best forwards this year analytically.

I’m confused as to why going long term on a kid who has already popped off for 30+ goals prior to the age of 23 is a mistake

The correct answer if Mittelstadt continues his pace is to give him term and figure out where Skinner would like to play the last couple years of his contract.

🤷🏻‍♂️

Maybe, only in retrospect and with the unwillingness to bring in suitable wingers for the 3rd line...internally or externally.
It was the right move at the time as Mitts was dangerously close to entering bust territory. Then afterwords, he found his sh!t.

The list of reclamation projects that Donnie is responsible for on this team is truly amazing...Tage, Skinner, Dahlin, Mitts..even Tuch's emergence as a 1RW.

Well you can't keep signing everyone to LT Contracts, especially with the abundance of talent the Sabres have coming through there system.

Rosen, Savoie, Benson, Krebs, Johnson, UPL, 2024 1st isn’t even a starting point? How about for Draisaitl?
- Jet Jaguar BD

this will open the floor up for negotiations for Leon.

Power or Dahlin + Tage are the starters for the package that would involve McDavid and I would be all over it.

blue jackets drop a game

rangers win
bruins over islanders

mixed bag for sabre fans

top good teams are starting to separate and the bottom feeders seem to be few if any

Chicago or San Jose maybe, even then it would cost additional futures as well.

I agree Skinner needs to be the odd man out.

Think he waives to go anywhere? It'd cost to move a $9M cap hit, even if he's still at this level, but the NMC throws a big monkey wrench into that, it isn't a list I believe, it's a full on yes or no NMC. AKA he isn't going to SJ.

Lot of parity this year it would seem. Think there's any chance we squeak in?

His cap hit is 9mill but the last 2 years of his Contract his actual Salary is 7mill and then 5mill. After next year it could be reasonable to move him. Still guy seems to be getting better the Older he gets.

Getting to pay a little less could entice an owner or organization trying to reach the floor. But not many contenders are going to want that. Can you see Skinner waiving to go back to rebuild mode?

No, but he also could become a buy out candidate that last year.

Power tuch kulich 1st for McDavid

He won't be traded anyways. If he forces his way out it can't possibly cost more than that

Maybe its mittelstadt, but it would be funny if tuch was traded for both eichel and McDavid

Oh wow, Mitts has the most points on the team. Assist heavy though. Tage and Skinner only 1 less and 3 more goals.

6-5 Sabres tonight. Probably

>>> Power, Benson, Kulich, Levi, and three 1sts. Offer it.

↘️ Quoting Joe Marino (@JoeMarinoTCB)

There’s no way there isn’t a McDavid trade request this offseason. It’s time to correct history

>>> I'm half kidding, but make that trade and you still have a farm left.

Peterka - McDavid - Quinn
Skinner - Tage - Tuch
Greenway - Cozens - Mittelstadt
Savoie - Krebs - Ostlund

Dahlin - Samuelsson
R. Johnson - Jokiharju
Clifton - ???

always a chance

if you look at the standings right now, odds are against us

pens will be better

if the wings stay above us then it will come down to us, leafs, islanders, pens and maybe caps for 1 spot
