Eric Johnson has played well and is a proven Stanley cup winner for sure.

I’m trusting the Sabres management knows more than a hockey buzz poster about okposo and girgs leadership . They actually are close to the situation.

- Boss34

Did you trust them with Colin Miller or Lyubushkin? 3RD has been a revolving door.

Johnson has been among their worst players 5v5. Just another filler.

That’s not practical, you need experience

We finally have some stable leadership

His only saving grace so far has been helping elevate the PK.

But I agree, the less we see him at even strength the better.

He’s a one trick pony of the defence variety.

Clifton’s numbers away from Johnson look good also, so I’m not ready to bury the guy just yet because he’s saddled with a boat anchor

Make Brett Murray the center, he is a rocket scientist by birth. He learned how to master the way of the sumo wrestler during a 6 month vow of silence in the Himalaya’s when he was 11.

He will provide the grit needed for Allen to rip the ear piece out of his helmet and play like the cowboy he is.

Hello- this is GM Kev Adams from Buffalo, I’m trying to speak to Craig Conroy. I understand he’s very busy, I should be as well, could I ask for a minute of his time?
Hey Craig… it’s Kevyn Adams from Buffalo. We are very fond of one of your defensemen….uh, actually it’s not Hanifan, it’s Rasmus Andersson. You see, in the past we’ve always had at least two Rasmus’sssss and at the moment, we only have one. We’re prepared to offer you a very talented product from your area who is a former 1st round pick who plays with energy and is fun to have around the locker room. We will also throw in our first round pick in 2024, no lottery protection along with another Swede who is an incredible 100’ player. You still with me Craig? That’s Krebs, Olafsson and a first round pick next year for your version of Rasmus. We got a deal, Craig, ole buddy?

Getting Joker off the PK seems to be working. He gets credit for that.

Don't think he's an ugrade at all, but he's also just another filler to give RJ a year to develop. Wish we had the goalie version of him.

They couldn't even lead the team out of the two stretches that buried their season last year

I just think they ended up with #9 and #24 on their list of options. Is Johnson any better than Stillman or Clague? He keeps Bryson on the bench, which helps. There's other ways to never play Bryson though.

How many are under 22? A year in Roch was the smart move for Levi.

Our 2 captains okposo and Girgensons have played 1,600+ nhl games

You really think they haven’t learned anything they can’t teach the younger players?

Seems that way. He was a high risk gamble, in terms of relying on him as a #1.

Hope he gets goaltending figured out. Right now, they are getting almost exactly what they got last year.

The list of teams that have their goaltending figured out is much shorter than the teams that don’t.

I’m just happy we didn’t give Korpisalo or Jarry 5 years to be as useful as a healthy Comrie

What how to be overpaid on non contending teams?

They sure can't teach them anything about winning

moving the goalpost there

it was a simple question

all the fancy stat sites had us expected to get a playoff spot last year

couldn't close the deal

Feels like we're going to walk into the offseason uncomfortable with what we have again. Can't remember the last time they walked into a season comfortable with their goaltending. Probably goes back to Miller.

Nobody had the Sabres in the playoffs , Vegas certainly didn’t

Not sure what posts I’m moving

Clearly neither Girgensons, okposo and dahlin for that matter know anything about playoff hockey or regular season winning.

My point, there’s plenty of other things to teach and learn on and off the ice.

I meant going into the season last year, nobody had us improving nearly as much as we did.

Let alone the playoffs

Tampa is going make the playoffs this year cause they’ll lose 15-20 games in OT.

It’s basically all they got at this point.

Score on your power plays and pray to god you get to overtime
