If DJ was fired tomorrow do you think he'd head coach another team in the league?

I'd be willing to bet after his tenure in Ottawa the likleyhood would be slim but for maybe a rebuilding team 5 years from now.

Shouldn't that be good cause to fire him.

In a league where coaches are passed around all the time that simple analysis should be enough.

Nip it all in the bud.

Fire DJ. Letting a goalie take the crease and have a player tell him the other guy is finishing the game is embarrassing. That is not fireable alone, but the team has no structure under this coach either. Just one thing after another showing this coaching staff just doesn't cut it. Get Babcock in there for all I care.

Let Dorion go. Let Staios take over. We know that's happening anyway. Just do it now. The Pinto situation has dragged on way too long. He's signing retired goalies for a day instead of focusing on signing players who can actually help with the team.

Trade Chabot. There's your cap relief. He's not good for the money he is paid. Get a cheaper shut down d-man and quality 3rd/4th line player. Let Sanderson and Chychrun runs the defence.

One goalie needs to stop a puck at key times. Confidence level with both is low. Moving Forsberg and having a guy make league minimum is also cap relief. Results would be similar. Would rather not have Korposalo, but you are not moving that contract.

3-3 out of the gate is not acceptable. This teams needs to make the playoffs. The losing culture is creeping in.

Dunno about burning so much to the ground just yet, but agree if this team sinks much further and a big shakeup is deemed required, a Chabot trade is worth considering.
