That's going to be tough to find. I'm not sure I can think of a team where their wingers are lesser, to the point where PK is a defacto 1RW, but is still good enough to be a contender. Going down the laundry list of usual names in my head hasn't sparked many light bulbs. Only team I thought of was Edmonton and they have negative cap space still I believe.

Wait for an injury to provide the opportunity might have been his plan all a long.

Yeah this is probably the move, although Florida will have the space once the LTIR stuff happens won't they?

Sure, but they aren't expected to miss the season, are they?

Doesn't look like they need to use LTIR atm.

Seems a lot more likely. I certainly wish we'd have a chance to see Kulich and RyJo for the full year, but something tells me they won't be gone for long.

is the current figure on CF factoring in Ekblad and Montour as being placed there?

I dont think they are missing the full year but out long enough that they could sign kane and still have time to work out another move.

Friedman mentioned them as an option and I buy it. If anyone can work out of cap hell its Zito.

Also wouldn't surprise me if the first long term injury in NY got him back to the rangers.

They could trade for Olofsson and get the same results for lower cost acquisition though…..same player

I read it as under the cap, without LTIR.

But theyre close enough to it that putting both there would free up a ton of space right?

Good article. It would seem based on historical data, sending him back down might be prudent...

But fortune favors the bold. I say let the kid play his 9, then reassess. If he's still doing what he's been doing...maybe he's (frank)ing Pasta lol.

I would be shocked if he plays the full season here

Well, the LTIR version of free. Easy to add Kane, after the season starts. Hard to activate off of LTIR.

I’m shocked they are giving him the 9 game tryout. If continues play like this for 9 games how do you send him down

Throw 2 on Levi while you’re at it.

Then throw 50 on bedard

Now that's what I call hedging

Bedard is definitely the most likely but i dont think it's totally crazy to think Benson could have more points than Bedard if he's with Skinner and Thompson all year

He'd have to land on PP1 to have a chance, I think.

Panthers have vaguely said December/January for their returns.
Montour after Thanksgiving.
Ekblad maybe until Christmas.
They may be a minor move over the cap when both return, I don’t recall.
I don’t see them trying to make a big signing utilizing ltir room.

For sure. And Donnie tends to play his lines more balanced in terms of ice time. Bedard will probably get 23 minutes a night

If he's getting a point per game in the regular season you keep him up. I don't think that'll be the case but it would be a welcome surprise

Logan couture is available from SJ. 4 years left at 8 million, had like 67 points last year on a bad San Jose team.

He’s 34….might as well be on his death bed.
