Was going to post this response earlier to the one Hank made about the reluctance to return Benson and Savoie to their Junior team due to the coach environment...
Maybe the Sabres could work out a deal to send Girgenson and Okposo instead...provide some mentoring and leadership. Sabres retai. Savoie and Benson...win / win.

Based on the lines at practice, it sure looks like Benson is getting his 9 game tryout. His competition (kulich, rousek, Rosen) are on the 5th and 6th lines. Also looks like Johnson is destined to start in Rochester.

Holding out hope Adams trades UPL or Comrie.

i cant get myself to 100 because if the situation in wenatchee has a swift resolution benson will go back.

I'm also not 100 percent sure they carry 8D /3G. I think they will, but so many guys go on waivers that week its possible they think they can sneak a player down

Not much more to say on it at this point, time to find out. A trade or waiving VO would be refreshing, but just expect the typical boring moves.

I think there's a small chance that the two teams actively looking for goaltending (COL and TB) fix that issue before the roster deadline.

If that happens, they might roll the dice on sneaking UPL down.

They are really asking a lot of Benson defensively if they do intend on playing him with Skinner and Tage.

Even Tuch who is one of the best 200 foot forwards in all of hockey couldn’t help that defensive albatross.
