Would you trade Kulich for Stamkos right now? No conditions set, player for player. Try working on short term extension but nothing gtd.

What percentage would you say are his chances of making the team for the whole season?

I'd set mine at 1%, and that's only if the team has a season long injury to two of their top RW's, or Quinn ends up being out for the season.

We know they like ELC slides and hate waiving their guys. Any reason to think they like 9 game tryouts?

I put it at 30%. If he makes the team, I think they intend it to be for the season. If they don't think he physically ready, they send him down before the season.

Yes, for Benson (and Savoie), it's the coaching situation for their Junior club.

Are 2-3 weeks going to change things? I really have no idea. Not following it that closely.

Say Tuesday, gets 2 days to skate with the Sabres and send him to Rochester for his 2 week Conditioning Stint. Gets you to about the 26th of October and go from there.

I'd love to know the rules on conditioning stints. How long a player needs to miss time to be able to do one

It's not all that relevant, he could easily start on SOIR. I just wanted to know the date.

I say there's a 75% chance Benson gets his 9 games and 33% he stays the whole season.

- Biro is the wild card here. If they like Biro almost as much as Benson, possibly they send Benson down so they don't have to expose Biro to waiver.
- They could keep both Biro and Benson (14 forward), if they only keep 7 defensemen (Bryson waived to Rochester) and either (a) have a surprise forward cut (Jost) or trade (Oloffson), or (b) only keep 2 goalies.
- Whther or not Benson stays the whole year clearly depends on how he plays in those 1st 9 games. If he does a Reinhart (0 points in his 9 tryout games) he goes down, if he does what Ryan O'Reilly did in Colorado at 18, he stays

You'd think this would be spelled out, but it's not. There's 2 types of conditioning loans:

Player consents and there's a 14 day max. We know from Shane Wright that 5 scratches allows it under the CHL agreement, but seems like that's just CHL players and only allowed once per season. We know from Grigorenko that the commissioner can step in and deny.

After a long term injury, the team can assign a player for 6 days or 3 games, without consent, and can request an extension.

I would just for the chance to see a line of quinn-cozens-stamkos on the ice in april beating the leafs in a playoff game

plus I think he would sign an extension here

If Adams/Donnie are smart, they would play
Mitts-Krebs-Benson on L3 together ... it would be an amazing and responsible L3 while also creating production from 3 guys who can find each other ... then, the team would have created tremendous value should they wish to deal either Mitts or Krebs as the next set of prospects comes up in the ensuing years
-or-
Keep the boys together and focus the '24-'25 year on integrating L4 prospects.

Either way, a win in my book
