I think the better questions center around when we can anticipate them becoming better than other Sabres...
-Mitts?
-Krebs?
-Olofsson?
-Jost?
-Girgensons?
-Okposo?
-Greenway?

Really hope Mcdermutt has some LB packages with Williams involved in the future.

Milano-Bernard-Williams would just be insane speed. Blitz one of Milano or Williams.

Also Oliver and Daquan Jones need to be out there 80% of the time. Not liking settle or phillips this year.

What do they do when Von plays? Roussau or Floyd dont start?

Spicy! Was very happy to see how far Rosen's game has come. Becoming a very good 200ft player.
- Buff36

He really has developed quite well. I'm pretty excited to watch both of them, Rosen's numbers should sky rocket due to his strength, 2 way development and getting to the crease.

Not many do in their rookie year outside of the elite prospects (heck even they have their own fair share of struggles).

What Quinn did last year as a rookie in terms of impacts not even Eichel did which makes it all the more impressive.

JJ had a hot start, a very meh middle, and finished strong (which carried over to the world championships).

Time will tell if the defensive game will carry over, but I feel confident he’s a 2nd line winger.

Given that he may be a third line winger here when it’s all said and done, speaks to the amount of talent we have as an organization and the trajectory we are on.

The next decade of Sabres hockey is going to be a lot of fun.

Let's just exclude 4th line minutes. Jost Okposo Girgensons, probably Krebs. So we're talking top 9.

Skinner-Tage-Benson
Quinn-Mittelstadt-Tuch
Peterka-Cozens-Savoie/Kulich/Rosen/Greenway
Rousek-Krebs-Biro/Larry

It's a real pickle. I think next season you've got 3 prospects fighting brutally for the top 9. Along with Greenway, who they want in that top 9 for forechecking, clearing space.

There's real decisions coming up next year. Real, actual, hard ones.

Then the next wave is Kozak, Ostlund, Cederqvist, BIGG MURR, Neuchev, Poltapov, Kisakov, Nadeau, 2024 1st round forward.

It might be high time to use a 1st and a prospect on a big league young D.

Opinions may vary, but this is certainly the best window we've had to get one...maybe in franchise history. We actually have two top centers, two top D, an amazing goalie growing up before our very eyes and a TON of prospects/picks to wheel and deal with.

As Taco wisely said, there's literally too many cooks to fit in one kitchen. Trades actually HAVE to be made, the only question is when.

I took on a $250k loan at 44% interest rate and put everything I had on the Sabres when I read this:

"His hockey involvement during that time had been somewhat limited, although he did help lead the Canadian men's hockey team to gold at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, as a consultant, and he also served as the head coach for Team Europe in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey, leading them to a surprising second-place finish.

Krueger has a great deal of experience coaching in Europe, and with the Sabres having several key European players such as Dahlin, Rasmus Ristolainen, Linus Ullmark, Alexander Nylander and Victor Olofsson, Krueger could prove to be a strong fit in Buffalo."

He is using this season to evaluate if the team needs that type of support.

Would you trade Kulich for Stamkos right now? No conditions set, player for player. Try working on short term extension but nothing gtd.

Matt Savoie isn’t on the ice for the Sabres’ morning skate. He has yet to practice with the team in training camp as he works his way back from the shoulder injury.

Hm. I think Kulich and Peterka have comparable careers. Rosen, I'll take my shot, will be better than both. Pretty warm take maybe.
- TheSabresTaco

That's more than a warm take.

Rosen's size is going to be a long term issue for him in terms of making a high level impact, IMO.

There is a chance that happens. I don't think RyJo will remain buried for long and Benson, I think, has a legitimate chance. While there isn't as much competition as we like, if they don't let any of the kids stay up, this is basically going to explode into a full blown battle royal for spots next year.

Glass half full.

- QuinnFan

Benson has a legitimate chance for what?

9 games? The whole season?
