If John Lynch was the GM of the Bills, how would he handle this?
- RichardRoma

He would've drafted Allen and traded him after a year or two?

Isabella got cut.

Will be interesting to see if they put Shakir on IR and bring him back. Glad Shorter got kept.

The Bills being a good regular season team I wouldn’t say is a glowing accomplishment anymore. It’s time to go.
- ImThatGuy

Yeah, again I don't know what your point is in reference to the context of the conversation. I'm missing something.

I think we all view it as a failure.

I think all of us realize they had a crazy amount of bad luck to with injuries and someone dying on the field

Chrissy Casilio doesn't believe that Hamlin actually died on the field, nor does she believe that he was ever injured at all.

How is that? Apologies, I may be talking out my ass. I know we can restructure him, but didn't think the cap savings was super significant. Is there more to be had in ensuing years?
- RhinoFan

His contract only gets bigger, they can turn 28mill into a signing bonus and kick it down the road. The way Beane had the contract worked out, the Cap will be much higher when the Can settles.

That's a bigger chunk than I heard, thought was in the $12-15M range. So that does help...whether or not it's enough to cover a D-Line and some raises is still a question then though, isn't it?

he got Erik Johnson

- homiedclown

And Clifton, and ryan johnson (who everyone told me there was no chance he was signing)

Only can bring players that want to play here man.

His salary is 23 million and he has a option bonus of 6mill. They can turn all but a 1.25mill into a signing bonus and spread it out.

Cute talk but Pegula is not selling the Sabres
- turbo044

Yup. This was done so he can use more funds on the bills stadium

He probably thinks John Lynch is a better GM than Beane, even though Lynch just traded a guy he took 3rd overall less than two years ago for a 4th.
- RichardRoma

A guy he gave 3 1st round picks for. How many superbowls have San Fran won in the last 20 years?

Buffalo sports fans need to understand this. You cannot force a player to accept a trade here, or sign here as a free agent, nor can you force a GM to accept a trade offer.

We went 13-3 with 3 losses by 8 points and the 2nd ranked offense.

Yeah, that spells "need to rebuild"

Good grief

- sbroads24

Except the Bills season has started in January since 2020 and ended shortly after.

Whether the Bills go 15-2 or 11-6 does it really matter ?

Is that enough though? I think they'd need to do that and more just to get under the cap next year. Sorry if I'm missing it here. I'm a horse that needs to be lead to water and made to drink lol.

No, they will need to make more, but it definitely takes a lot of the hurt away if they couldn't.

Winning the division 3 years in a row is cool and all but have you tried rebuilding for 13 years? That poop rules

It takes a skilled artisan to suck that bad that you can’t even luck into making the postseason at least once in 13 years. I mean half the league gets in.

Bruins bad, Bills bad, Beane only drafted Josh, olives will be extinct in 2 years, Sabres are good

Did I mention jalapeños are back in a BIG way?

Winning playoff games every year is ok I guess but have you ever landed the 6th best prospect at pick 13?

VonDudensteins,

MSG is airing Classic RJ games. Pretty sure Game 2 @ Ottawa in 06 is tonight at 7 PM. You're welcome. It's not easy being the numero uno around here.

Thanks for restoring hope, I will admit, I figured by the 2025 season at the latest, we would be seeing a much weaker roster.
