Only a matter of time before we see stuff like this an NHL shootout

3-2-1 point system and this won't seem so bad.

Tage = Mathew's. Tage is good but this is not even close
Cozens = Tavares. I'd say Cozens
Tuch = Marner. Close because Tuch has balls
Skinner = Nylander Their both flakes but Nylander is better

Overall you are not far off but not this season

Do Canadians like Balsillie? Someone fighting that hard for an NHL franchise might be a good owner.
- Hatboro_Swords

It's very easy. Balsille has money. He doesn't need people to like him. Money buys him all he needs including friends.

I would take a shot at him, Bills almost signed him in 2020.

The ADL pressured advertisers to drop Twitter because Musk is pro-1A(to a point) because the left is obsessed with censorship/banning wrongthink. Aside from that he cut over 6k woke useless morons after he took over, and it has absolutely been a better experience for users.. then he hired a globalist WEF CEO to appease his handlers.

So Bettman won't let the Coyotes leave a city/state where no one wants them but you think the Sabres are moving? He also wouldn't let the Sabres move when the league owned them.
- Wetbandit1

Eventually, the Coyotes situation will be figured out, for better or worse. Whether that takes two years, five years, or a decade, the Coyotes will either get a new arena or, more likely, relocate. The relocation fee alone would up the team's value, at least temporarily.

After that, it's about upping the value of its franchises, and Buffalo will definitely be a target. The market here is stagnant. There is very little money to be made here. The focus will be on growth, and you can't get it here.

The Sabres aren't in any danger of relocation in the immediate future, as long as teams like Arizona are floundering, but this won't be the case in a decade, when its all settled, especially if Pegula sells to an outsider.

Gary would let Buffalo move before he would admit any Southern team is a failure. Hamilton is twice the size of Buffalo, and the traffic from London, Kent, etc… on top of the Toronto market wanting cheaper hockey is enough to justify the move.

I still say Ottawa ends up in Quebec, Arizona in Houston and after that, Buffalo either needs a new arena and stays or Hamilton is a real option.

Let’s face it, the city of Buffalo isn’t going to have a large influx of new residents any time soon and I wouldn’t bet on more than 15-25k in the suburbs even by the end of the decade.

The Golden Horseshoe is only going to grow, however and Buffalo ain’t a part of that no matter how much people want to believe it is.

We can support the Bills long-term. I’m not sure about the Sabres.

I actually don't think it would be Hamilton. It's not that much of an upgrade from Buffalo. Technically, the Buffalo metro area is larger by a few hundred thousand, though that doesn't factor in the surrounding areas. If the Sabres move, it will be a US market of 2 or 3 million plus. The fortunate thing for Sabres fans right now is that the NHL is aligned the way they want it: all Eastern Conference teams are in the Eastern time zone, while the Western Conference is in all others, and there aren't that many more options in the East. Atlanta is one, but it's been a failed experiment multiple times. A dark horse is Orlando. Similar to Vegas, it has enough of a tourist population to become a destination for road teams. Tampa would have to allow that though.

There are plenty of larger markets that would be desirable relocation locations and I think they would have a lot of outside interest for that reason. I can't see the Leafs ever giving up their territorial sovereignty to host another franchise in the GTA. It would be litigated into the ground.

But, no, our fate is to endure the meddlesome ownership of Terry Pegula for the next 20 years.

We (the taxpayers) will pay for the massive arena improvements due in the next 5 years and if Terry's timing is right, the team will be good and we'll all happily do so like trained seals clapping for herring. His $170m Harborcenter is a wonderful draw for the combine and the fact that it's connected to the arena makes a new location in Buffalo unlikely

Maybe if 65% of Buffalo weren’t obese this wouldn’t be an issue. I have no problems with room or navigation in the arena.

The problem is more like why does everyone in upstate NY eat garbage plates, chicken wings, beef on Weck, greasy ass pizza with cups of grease in the inside out titties of pepperoni, and eat chicken finger subs or stingers? Mighty Taco and washing away life’s problems with Labatt’s Blue and Genny Screamers before drinking a bottle of the brown liquor?

The way you guys fetishize the cuisine of Buffalo, NY is scary and hopefully just exaggeration.

Yuck. Yeah, we traded him only to swap late round picks as well...

Can't keep missing on these higher round picks and stay competitive. I'll repeat that I'm worried our coming down to earth moment comes this year.
