By trading our 2nd best WR for a god damn running back who is injured, wants a long-term deal and held out of training camp?

Here in your language:

By trading are 2nd best wr for a rb who’s injured wants a contract and held out ?

This assumption is understandable, the competition ended when we learned that Timmy C has more playoff points in one shift, than Girgs does his entire career.
- washedup20

Just to add to this, in 36 playoff games Timmy C has 23 points

Girgensons has beaten that point total just once in his career in a season

I'd love to see Timmy C in today's game. It's too bad he got his head knocked off. He was very skilled.

Agreed, it was a cool podcast with Vanek and Connolly on the After the whistle the 2nd part today. Vanek thinks he would be a 100+ point a season player now.

For Krebs and Olo and the deal is taking this long to close?

Final paragraph kills it for me, fanboy writing:

If the Sabres were to acquire Hanifin, they would have one of the league’s better blue lines. With young talents already on their back end, such as Rasmus Dahlin, Owen Power, Mattias Samuelsson, and Henri Jokiharju, this team could go into each and every game knowing their back end is more than capable of shutting down each and every offensive star they face up against. As far as great trading partners go, there may be no better than these two when it comes to Hanifin.

Yeah, he would've been a monster. Him in a more finesse driven league would've been something to behold, good call.

What could be the delay in closing that deal? That’s an easy Yes for Buffalo.

Certainly a stronger top line now with Pepe on the 1st line. We should bring him back home next summer.

Yeah, Hanifin is a good player, but his defense isn't exactly fitting. Who do you pair him with ?
