I would love to know where the rumour about the ask being Kulich and/or savoie + instead of two firsts came from.

On the off chance it is true (doubtful but you never know) it makes it seem like the ARZ GM is totally unhinged

Makes me wonder if that was an early ask and Adams didn't persist after a few tries, where if he did persist, he may have gotten the player.

I thought it was GMKA that said AZ wanted Savoie or Kulich and our 1st, as they thought we would finish higher. He was willing to trade the 1st, but not either player.

Ottawa did pay their 1st, a 2nd and a conditional 2nd, so that checks out.

Personally, wouldn't have done this trade either, but it's obviously significantly better value than trading Kulich or whomever.
