OK, guy had a 50% war playing 23min a night and 56% Dzone starts with Pettersson. Who put up numbers he never has before playing with Petry and actually looked like a viable top 4 Dman.

As has been pointed out, Clifton isn't toxic waste. Okposo and Girgs are stop gaps for the 4th line, if the biggest critique is that he resigned our captain to a 1 year to play 10-12 mins a night, I'm with the peanut gallery...we're reaching.

As I've said, I wanted more too. I get the frustration, I just don't get why we think Adams is so terrible given the lack of big moves this offseason.

Clifton is a good signing. EJ, is whatevs, just depth.

But I digress...who should we have signed as upgrades over them? Only one I can think of is Orlov and he's no world ender. Where were these massive upgrades we passed on?

I disagree, this entire post is justifying bad moves that continue to keep the roster unbalanced.

Lack of big moves - this is meaningless. Team needed more and Adams and co balked the offseason.

Balked or weren't willing to get fleeced, one of the two. We will never know, ever, ever, ever. BUT, if you found out we could've had Hellebucyk, but the lowest price was Levi+Savoie++, would you have done it? If so, what if more was added?

The point is, unless you're sitting in that room and know Adams declined a legitimate deal, all we can go off of is the guys that moved. To this point no one has said, "X player was a huge upgrade, gotten for cheap and we messed up", but I am still waiting...
