Source - as Thurman never said that about Jim? Game calling was bad but that was on Marchiboda not kelly
- turbo044

Source is Thurman, can’t find the quote but he was asked and he said Jimbo had full control at the LOS, as well all know he did

Correct and that OT winner was awesome, though, he got a wa ywith a pretty blatant penalty that caused the breakaway. Refs were afraid to call btb penalties on Sabres in OT

I would have like Joker traded instead of him, but, Adams sees something in Joker the rest of us don't

Oh shut the (frank) up Stamkos dove and we all know it

Which d-pairing do you play with Girgs and Okposo to help their defensive play?
- washedup20

Depends which lines they're up against.

Johnson o/u 60 games?

I say under.

I get strong Eric Staal vibes from him.

Hard to define a fully healthy baseline for a 35-y/o with 920 pro games under his belt. Especially considering that, like Bandit said, he's never played a full season

The overwhelming consensus from Avs fans from other boards and Reddit is.

“he is cooked. Should be a vet minimum 6th/7th d-man. He is a great locker room and veteran presence for young guys though.”

Great person, but on ice is going to be rough.

Should be a coach. Maybe he is this years Craig Anderson where he only plays once every 3 games.

Nice gig at $3.25M, especially with the $1.25M signing bonus he got.

Would you rather have boosh or e Johnson and a 4th?

Stanley cup champion gives him the push IMO

Changed my mind.

I'll go for choice C, which is a pair of 4th round picks after the upcoming trade deadline is over (one for Lyubushkin the other day and another for E. Johnson), assuming the Sabres are allowed to retain 50% when they trade him.

It'll be another tidy bit of business by Adams.

A 4th rd pick in 2025 who has a <1% chance of making the NHL in the next 7 years.

Meh.

Again it’s reshuffling deck chairs on the titanic.

E Johnson may be a great person, but if he’s anywhere in the top 4 this team is in trouble.

He did play 77 in 21-22, Id take that. I think thats the bet here, from the analytics side.

That if the even strength minutes hover around 3rd pair, and he's not a special teams guy (can't see how he would be) that his numbers will look more like 21-22 than last year.

Same bet they made with stillman. Leadership is a nice bonus too i guess. If he were a few years younger I'd be comfortable with them making that bet. At 36, idk. But it pushes Bryson out of the lineup I suppose.

I would rather have kept boosh and not signed Johnson and then traded Joker and Olo for a good middle-6 winger.

stillman is beyond bad. he does the same thing everywhere he goes. he looks like a viable option for about 7 games and then his true talent comes out.

he was fine in florida, im sure he'll be a fine 8 minute option here too. At the very least, hes not playing nearly enough to move the needle either way. Nice option have if you need it in a pinch though.

Sure, and he played 4 the year before that and 59 the year before that. He's the very definition of "oft injured"
