RJ night a few years ago …. Was perfect

Ugh I said it just a few days ago they’re gonna start dropping like flies but I didn’t need it to be RJ wtf ;_;

Because he has a 2 year ELC and will need a new deal that summer. I just looked at the significant RFA's that summer, no more thought than that.

I was out with friends celebrating a birthday.

I left when I found out.

I’m home now watching Rick calls.

I’m at a loss for words.

I met him once in passing yet I feel
Like I’ve known him all of my life.

Thank you rick for capturing the hearts and minds of Sabres and hockey fans.

RIP to a legend.

Grateful he received a proper ceremony, where he and the Sabres killed it together. Rest in peace to an absolute legend and the voice that brought me to Sabres hockey and kept me there since elementary school.

Man listened to that guy for 49yrs, I remember playing hockey in the basement while he was calling games pretending to be Perrault or Rick Martin. I started playing Hockey because of those magical calls. Sad Day!!!

Rip to a legend

Just before he retired my wife won me a meet and greet with RJ. I’m 50 years old and was acting like I was 6 for the 15-20 mins we met with RJ. It was a bucket list item for me. Sounds crazy but RJ is one of the main reasons I love the sport of hockey. Listening on a small portable radio bc the games we’re past your bed time. Trying not to scream your head off when he was describing or a goal or even better a fight. RJ calling games is the sound track of my life.

Still in shock, RJ was always there the one constant with the Sabres. Through thick and thin he always left you remembering something. Let's go Sabres, No more thin and Let's bring something Home for the One Constant.

Saw my cousin post an old pic of her and RJ on Facebook and I knew something was up.

RIP RJ. Loved hearing his voice calling the games.
