I think he uses them way more than we give him credit for. I think his ability to execute doesn't mean they're not listened to quite often.
- Michael Ghofrani

Guess I should have said use them to any actual effect. They may have given him great info for the offseason and it just resulted in next to nothing.

Adams also gets the rewards of moving reinhart, eichel and risto

Botts held firm for Tage and got Skinner, Dahlin Sameulsson and Cozens which should count for something

esp if Johnson, Casey do what we expect

Cederqvist and Rouusek still wildcards

- homiedclown

JB could have moved him for Ehlers though and chose not to (supposedly)

With that move he'd have Montour, Miller and Joker down the right with Dahlin on the left

Yeah and I think ultimately thats where questions about whether he's the guy for this era comes from.

Can give you all the useful info in the world, if he can't execute then its just a shoulder shrug.

Was gonna go 40/40 but I think Adams has a better draft record. Botts unfortunately traded away a lot of picks because of Murray trading the whole farm system.
- Buff36

Just hope KA has drafted well and isn't just being given a lot of credit for making a lot of high picks.

JB's drafts are grading pretty well.

And he absolutely gets credit for this along with Donnie G

His abandonment of the 2nd line center position throughout his entire tenure was unforgivable though (along with his hiring of R*lph)

I dont believe for a second Kevyn Adams would look at prospect producing like Hagel at a position they are weak at and say "its a situation where, i dont need that".
- Michael Ghofrani

agreed

Hagel will never forget it

Damn the Stadium is approaching 300mill over Budget already. Saying they waited to long to take a bid on 1 peticular thing and it came in 75mill more than they were expecting with Material and Labor cost.
- Buff36

That’s normal for stadium builds.

Mean while the titans new stadium preview is a dome and looks beautiful.

Buffalo stadium only has a couple slides so far with subpar renderings.

With the inactive summer, there's almost a clean slate next year. 2/3 of the team are in their final year and 1st rounders knocking on the door. Hope it's not just extensions for everyone.

Chychrun got double the return Karlsson got.

I wouldn’t be so sure.

And I’m sure that’s the reason why Hanifin, Pesce e.t.c haven’t been dealt yet either.

I’d rather have Benson, two second rounders, and Clifton over Chychrun

Eh. I don't think so.

"Additionally, Botterill and Krueger have a relationship that can be traced back decades. Krueger played under Botterill's father, Cal, at St. John's-Ravenscourt preparatory school in Winnipeg."

I would like to think if we got the chicken man, we would have been picking higher then 13th at the draft

yeah id bet against them extending everyone. We're going to start seeing the inevitable log jam come to a head. And it will probably be more than just the UFA's.

He was actually really bad down the stretch in ottawa. I get wanting him long term obviously, but if the discussion is he makes the sabres a playoff team in 22-23, I think thats far from being a certainty.

KA's had the advantage of a flat cap making that a lot easier. JB also had pressure to win. I think they are the same in their development philosophy. KA hired an analytics team, so huge credit there, just wished he used them more.
- Lunaion

JB was operating during a time where Pegula was most involved after feeling burned by Murray.

I dont think Botterill was some great GM. But he wasn’t as awful as some purport.

I think with Kim’s illness Terry has been a lot more hands off and it’s given Adams some flexibility JB didn’t have

His actions or inaction at 2C is being mirrored by KA with the goalie position

no GM search when they hired Adams and the Botts is safe and then fired 3 weeks later while Ralph stays will always make me believe otherwise

of all the people I would expect to not communicate with the owner, I would expect it to be a Tim Murray type person, not a Botts

Housley I can give him a pass. He was a hot candidate.

That is undeniably fair.

Levi = year 1 Mittelstadt

UPL = Marcus Johansson

Good luck everyone!

This was a reaction to the now-known Eichel trade request. He wanted out, they fired Botterill and then Ralph pulled his strings to land Hall while Adams traded for Staal to placate Eichel
