First it was $80x8 done deal
Then it was early in the offseason no rush
Then it was waiting for him to get back from vacation
Then it was the biggest deal in history
Now it’s waiting to sell more tickets

If you were a realtor trying to sell a house and the buyer pitched these narratives to close the deal, what would you think?

I think it gets done eventually although both he and the Sabres likely know the AAV rises every day he's not extended.

It is interesting to wonder what the hold up is. Maybe it's simply contract language and trade protection stuff. Buuuut... could it be that his negotiating team expected more teambuilding from management this offseason?

Relax ….. it will be okay. I promise. Stop crying about it.

Who are you? Why do you respond like this?

It’s a hockey blog and this is a discussion about the team.

I would explore options, there would be a comp if Karlsson gets moved and that would establish the floor for Dahlin. I would prefer to sign him though so I would make the window of trading him short.
- washedup20

That kind of deal would beg one question: Which team are you helping win the Stanley Cup the season or two after you trade Dahlin to them.

Dirtbags seemed like a more proper description but I didn't want to trigger you any further.
- RhinoFan

If any of those players did something, they are lower then dirtbags.

I just don't see any outlining of the 6 or 8 suspects you are claiming are in that article.

Maybe that’s what Terry meant when he bought the team:

Kulich will still likely be on his ELC if they let it slide this year and have him go back to Roch.

Not so sure Casey is a $6M guy, but he will definitely get a raise if the last half of the year wasn’t a mirage.

End of the day we need to decide if Casey is the guy to get the pay day or somebody else, but you’re not wrong to say there is really one one contract slot left for a guy with a decent pay day.

Also quite nice they will have Benson, Savoie, and Rosen in their back pocket as well on ELC’s.

if casey puts up 60 points this season, it's 119 in 2 years

terry had 128 in last 2 years, got paid 7 per and plays wing

I hope in a playoff year, they do not send kulich down to kick the can on his contract down the road another year

If Kulich has a strong camp/season, keeping him from playing 10 games would be criminal.
