The Sabres have been doormats for too long.... up front you're good and Dahlin and Power are elite..... its time to leverge that farm system and get a legit right Dman and a # 1 goalie.
- DEDDIE

OK, I agree but they don't look like they are willing to do that at this point. If there was another player good enough I would put him with Dahlin, but other than Samuelsson there really hasn't been. Unfortunately to me with what we have, it would be better to split them up and divide some minutes

Are we sure that Pesce said no?
- Da_Cashman

Everyone I ask says thats the case and the clip from Friedman seems to corroborate that.

No, just something brought up by Friedman as a possibility it might have happened.

Dont think they would have signed both clifton and Johnson if Pesce was open to a trade to Buffalo.

Agreed, unless he thinks he can dump a couple D and rebuild his whole Right side.

I dont think hes trying to rebuild the whole right side. That would require more player movement at one position than hes done in his entire life.

And all of it after the draft/July 1.

In our lives, we find ourselves confronted with a peculiar dilemma. On one hand, we have the addictive allure of virtual connections and instant gratification, while on the other hand, the pristine beauty of the outdoors in Upstate New York beckons us to explore, rejuvenate, and reconnect with nature. This blog post delves into the dichotomy of the sadness brought about by addiction to social media, contrasted with the sheer joy and fulfillment that can be found by embracing the outdoors in Upstate New York.

The Allure of Social Media:
Social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok have revolutionized the way we communicate, share, and consume information. These platforms offer us an instant connection to a vast network of individuals, allowing us to showcase our lives, receive validation through likes and comments, and stay updated on the lives of others. However, this constant virtual engagement often comes at the expense of real-world experiences and genuine human interactions.

The Sadness of Addiction:
While social media addiction may not be recognized as a clinical disorder, its impact on mental health is undeniable. The constant need for validation, the fear of missing out (FOMO), and the endless scrolling through an idealized version of other people's lives can lead to feelings of sadness, loneliness, and inadequacy. As our attention becomes increasingly fixated on our screens, we miss out on the present moment and the simple joys that the real world has to offer.

Rediscovering Nature in Upstate New York:
Upstate New York is blessed with a diverse array of natural wonders, from the breathtaking beauty of the Adirondack Mountains to the serenity of the Finger Lakes region. Stepping away from the virtual realm and immersing oneself in these outdoor landscapes can be a transformative experience. The rustling leaves, crisp mountain air, cascading waterfalls, and panoramic views have a way of rejuvenating the soul, reducing stress, and inspiring a sense of awe and gratitude.

The Joys of Outdoor Adventures:
By disconnecting from social media and venturing outdoors, we open ourselves up to a world of adventure and self-discovery. Upstate New York offers countless opportunities for hiking, camping, kayaking, and skiing, allowing us to engage our senses, challenge our physical limits, and connect with like-minded individuals who share our love for the outdoors. The joy derived from conquering a difficult trail, witnessing a stunning sunset over a tranquil lake, or hearing the symphony of birdsong is a stark contrast to the empty gratification of virtual likes.

Balancing the Digital and Natural Worlds:
Acknowledging the sadness associated with social media addiction doesn't mean completely abandoning these platforms. Instead, it calls for a conscious effort to strike a balance between our digital and natural lives. By setting boundaries, practicing digital detoxes, and prioritizing outdoor activities, we can reclaim our agency over our own well-being. Sharing our authentic experiences on social media can also become a means to inspire others to reconnect with nature and find joy beyond the screen.

The sadness of addiction to social media can be overwhelming, leading us to question the value of virtual connections. However, by embracing the outdoors in Upstate New York, we can rediscover a sense of fulfillment, serenity, and purpose. The key lies in recognizing the importance of striking a balance between our digital lives and the wonders of the natural world. Let us find the courage to unplug, venture outside, and create memories that transcend the virtual realm, as we embrace the beauty that Upstate New York has to offer.

Yeah it would be something, I think we are done other than maybe a goalie. I am very unimpressed with what he did so far this off-season, be it by his own hand or with what is going on in the NHL this offseason
