Okay so you want to trade picks and prospects for a body to make an impact now, if Im getting that right?

So Ducks in full rebuild, stocking the farm and getting younger, and instead of stocking more talent and prospects you want the trade off of picks/prospects for a fix it all now with exactly what player? Rebuilds take a few years at least to do right. Nobody out there is suddenly putting the Ducks into the post season on their shoulders. Hate to say it but you either go castoff stiffs, or you get the odd older but seasoned and still solid vets like Killorn or Gudas to come in and mentor and help the young guys you are building with.

Add in a flat cap and really while it is nice to have space also limits things like moving Gibson, who really is all they have left to move at this point, and even though he has requested a trade, trying to make it happen is a whole other kettle of fish.

3 things that are go help immediately -

Drysdale healthy all yr.. 8 games.. that was a crusher.
Vets added -- another yr of growth from Z / McT and TT. Also see at least 3 Rooks making the team. Leo / Baby Z / Gaucher ?? Noah Warren??.

A real and actual coach. With a real and actual Defensive system.

Honestly the Ducks should be done rebuilding. They probably won't make the playoffs next year. But no more tanking.

This I am in total agreement with.

A real coach with a real system and some health and better players…

I think that is the big thing, they fixed the coaching. HUGE fix there for a lot.

Add Killorn and Gudas some solid vets and you start going with the talent they have, they will start to turn the corner there all on their own.

For me you have to have patience. You start trading prospects, younger talent, and picks you wind up back in the middling going nowhere fast phase. Rebuilds take time and patience and they can suck. Least the Ducks ARE moving forward and in the right direction. They SHOULD start winning more games and showing that improvement this year. Least they better.

Still do wonder what is going on there with Gibson though. Goaltending could make or break them really still.

Gibson will be better just because the D and system will be better ...

I watched the Dev camp this week... Minty and Baby Z are unreal Luneau is also pretty quick - Tyson Hinds is also very very stealthy good..

Helleson and LaCombe... just let all these guys get a taste and look out...

Leo is already the Ducks best Defensive F... he looks really really good... I was incorrect on the pick.. He's gonna be something else.
