The point I think people like Junuka don’t get is, at some point they will get players. Players WILL ALWAYS wanna come to NYC and MSG to play hockey.

It’s not like it’s Karlsson or bust, it’s Kucherov or Panarin, or bust

The point you miss is Karlsson is an elite talent in his prime. No matter what happens going forward, might regret it a couple years down road. We haven’t drafted anyone that is considered a generational talent. It’s very rare for that type of player to become available in free agency. Tavares was a total screw up by isles. It’s even rarer for teams to win without them. You don’t pass locking up a guy for next 6-7-8 years because you think we don’t have a shot at cup next year. You don’t want to give up some assets, but you think Tampa will and they’ll give us some too just to take Cally? |
