When will you ever come to your sense to realize that it isn't that the Rangers would not want to have Erik Karlsson playing on their back line? It's simply that this is not the right time to bring him in while during a rebuild which began & was made known through a memo direct to Rangers fans and the NHL world last February. It's even a worse option since it will cost the Rangers a few top prospects, including some just acquired through their rebuild, to trade for him. The trade price would go down only if the Rangers would take on 4 more years of Bobby Ryan's $7.25M.
So during a rebuild, you would want the Rangers for the next & last 3 seasons of Hank's current $8.5M cap hit, have 3 players only in Hank, Karlsson and Ryan, tying up a total of $28M to $30M of their cap space each of those seasons, (that's 35% to 38% of their cap based on this year's cap)???
And you call others here "geniuses"???
Well, we others all are then, which is why you still don't have a clue as to why Karlsson is not a proper fit RIGHT AT THIS TIME 6 MONTHS ONLY INTO A REBUILD, & at a high trade cost, "plus" as well.

Rusty's reply was made too fast & instantly, prior to me immediately within just a few seconds, resetting the same detail more clearer in paragraph looks as I thought I had it originally set, in reply to that same one's repeated "Karlsson wanted" posts on that earlier blog. It was clearer reading it seconds after I made those paragraph realignments, which again, was the way I first intended and prepared it to look like, which the system here did not do then.

@joesmithtb: Don’t expect any #TBLightning deal for Erik Karlsson anytime soon, per source. Not saying it won’t happen eventually, but nothing imminent or close.
