Anyone think Karlsson wants to go to Tampa to be nice & close to Hoffman? I mean he couldn't get any (frank)ing closer!

I can't see anything with Honka being enough for Karlsson.

To me the weird one is Tampa Bay. They are going to be in huge cap trouble next year and likely going to have to give up a few pieces as well. Why make it worse by adding an $11 Million + a year guy into the mix and possibly Ryan.

So far I think Vegas can give the most.

In all of this, I've expressed over a few days with replies back from basically every troll on here but I can not understand why people aren't viewing this as a huge betrayal by Karlsson.

Yes I understand people and likely Karlsson doesn't like EM. But the team clearly is trying to make him happy by getting rid of Hoffman and making him an offer July 1st like they did.

Karlsson clearly lied to the media and fans when he said "I want to stay here long term"

Lots of things can be blamed on EM or a few others, I for one want PD fired. But Karlsson being unloyal and wanting out despite the team making every attempt to making him happy.... That's on Karlsson.

It certainly antagonises the situation though. It's as if he want some to follow the trouble. And it certainly will piss of certain people if the Bolts can beat the Panthers - which isn't a given in my opinion.

The Leafs have now gone 18 years without winning a playoff round. During the same period we have had some exciting times in supporting the Sens.

I love Karlsson like everyone else including Stevie Y. I will have no difficulty cheering for Tampa in their Stanley Cup run. And I will have no difficulty getting excited for a young Sens roster, a new building and a new owner.

If the Sens land Sergachev in this deal ...I Will be content.

My condolences to Sens fans.

Coming into this thread more frequently because of all the news surrounding the team recently (mostly bad unfortunately) has shown me how much more realistic and grounded in reality so many of you are.

Getting unhealthy doses of spatso and Derps in the forums really skews the view people have of Sens fans. Most of you are so much better than that and I empathize with you for the current mess the organization is in. Bad ownership was the cause for so many years of hardship for Leafs fans.

Best of luck going forward. A good return for EK is critical at this juncture.

Just as long as we load up the Lightning for a season until Matthews demands $10M/year and the Toronto Golden Sallys have to blow it up without winning.
