Miscalculated the time I needed to get to Atlanta airport - subway was quick, security was even quicker.

So I'm at my gate 2 hours before takeoff, and my phone buzzes - 1 hour delay. FML.

Currently drinking at the Atlanta Braves bar - frank, it is depressing.

Unless he has a dog.

Had a company send 4 retail pouches of beef jerky to try, and I left them on the kitchen table. Woke up this morning at 4am to our barking dog - no bags on the table anymore. Looked in the family room - all 4 torn to shreds - not a piece of jerky to be seen, and the most thirsty dog you've ever seen. So thirsty, he barked to wake us up. He had emptied his water dish, I filled it, he drank it all without stopping, I filled it again and he finished that one about 10 minutes later. Now I've had to let him out every half hour to pee. Should have called him Jake.

He's a (frank)ing tool.

June 30; Any team that gets Tavares will be lucky. Instant contender

July 1, (after hearing Leafs signed Tavares); Tavares is a bust, couldn't do anything in 9 years with the Islanders.. Couldn't even make a save when the team needed him too..

Can somebody explain to me why Karlsson has three BEST friends and all three play for different teams linked to be interested in trading for him?

Everyone in the Atlanta Braves Airport Bar is now staring at me for laughing so hard.

P.S. they served me my beer in a logoed pint glass. I am totally stealing it.

I'd say Kyle, but we are so screwed now...

Anthony Duclair will play with the @BlueJacketsNHL next season. A one year-one way deal at $650 000

650k for 1 year? That's it?

Bergevin couldn't even bring himself to match that? Jesus christ.

It's funny - I find Shanny's rugged good looks much more attractive.

We should totes go on a double date together!

If he did, the media would play the "race" card. Not the "No Talent" card that should be used..

You're just saying that because it raises the chance of a three-way for you because I'd be the lonely Habs fan there.

Sounds like him alright.

FFS he's willing to take a flyer on Ales Hemsky but not on a 22 year old kid who's a very good friend of Drouin and Domi?

I think it can be done... but it makes your team worse maybe now, definitely in a year or two. I am not even trolling. I honestly think that his contract and his defense are going to hurt whoever signs him.

Just like how we may not like the JT contract much in a couple years, although he IS familiar with both ends of the ice.

- Aetherial

Agreed. Karlsson is awesome. But he is no longer the best d-man in the league (arguable that he ever was) and I don't want Tampa being in cap hell just to sign Karlsson and play catch up with Tavares and the Leafs.

I think Karlsson goes somewhere else other than Tampa. Yzerman might want him, but Yzerman is smart enough to know when to walk away if Ottawa is demanding the sun, moon, and stars in return. I would be shocked if Yzerman parted with Point - and pissed. I think Point is more valuable to this team right now than the addition of Karlsson would be.
