I wish y'all would read the offer sheet rules - we wouldn't have these discussions all the time...
https://www.capfriendly.com/offer-sheet-calculator

Specially this part of it:
The AAV for an offer sheet, which determines the compensation required, is derived by dividing the total contract value amount by the lesser of:
number of years offered, or
five (5) years

So that’s fine, give Kucherov the 10 mill and change and we only lose 2 firsts

Elliott Friedman on #NYR sticking to their plan: "People are saying they're in on Karlsson. They're not. I don't think they've ever been in on Erik Karlsson." #Sens

That one was the original “Kovy contract”. Maybe he will come down with a uniform allergy like Hossa and get traded to the Coyotes so they can get an 8 mil cap hit at a half million cost.

thing is, it benefited Chicago for Hossa to make up a uniform allergy

Montreal is completely in the clear money wise if Weber retires and they dont give a phuck about Nashville's cap issues and they are the team that would have to trade him.

Nashville is in dangerous spot

Nashville's best course of action would be to reacquire his rights and just LTIR him (have him intentionally fail concussion protocol or something) if he wants to retire prior to the contract ending. Of course, whoever has him would know they'd be looking to reacquire him, so the cost would be well more than what he'd actually command.

If they allow for CBO's after the next lockout labor negotiation, I wonder if Nashville goes all in to reaqcuire him just to buy him out. Would just make the trade look more even, but save them from cap hell.

Ryan Callahan has modified no-move clause, list of 16 teams he’d go to. And he hasn’t been approached about it this offseason. He’s rehabbing from summer shoulder surgery. Likely miss up to first month of season #TBLightning

If the Rangers take a cap dump from them, I wouldn’t mind Killorn.

Sorry for the delay, but carried over from other blog:

Tampa has to clear a little bit of cap space.

Would you take G back? Vet presence, RHD, aids in the tank

I doubt it would ever happen, but I’d be down for it.
