Yeah let's be real here. Frolin is a plug. That's it. He's not a make-or-break-playoffs guy. - Pixote Andolini

Personally I dont think the emotional stuff will affect him. The cyber bullying thing isnt directed at him. There will be some anger and distraction by it but it will blow over.
As for the stillborn thing. One thing we need to realize is for a Man it isnt as emotionally devastating. The person who really suffers through a stillborn birth or miscarriage is the mother. Women develop a bond with the baby before it is born. A man does not. This situation causes a lot of divorces because the father can not understand such a bond as we do not carry the child. Even upon birth it takes time for the father to feel an emotional connection with the child. Karlsson will be fine, his wife will be the one who suffers most.
Maybe it might mean more to him as my mindset isnt the same as most people. I see people who are pregnant and people related to them get super excited. When I hear about someone's pregnancy I say congrats to be be polite but I do not feel anything when I hear about it or even see a baby. It is just a tiny person to me.
I did not know about the seriousness of his other injuries though. I guess us Flyers fans just want to get in on some of that excitement the Leafs fans got. We want a drink of that heavily alcoholic kool-aid - xShoot4WarAmpsx
This isn't true and you need to re-think this outlook. |

Frolin is here to be a 7th D and the Flyers are still missing that big hitting D in the game
On the one hand Frolin played 65 games for the Kings who made the playoffs on the other hand is consider a 3rd pairing D needing sheltered minutes. Why do I hope he can actually play 16-18 a night and bring some edge to the Flyers D?
If you look at the 6 D who could Frolin beat out? It can't be SanHeim and you don't want it to be Hagg, leaves Frolin in the press box.
you have to hope Myers comes along in the first half in the AHL and Morin recovers so the Flyers have some options.

He's pretty much your standard 7th D man. You don't want him to have to play too much but you want him in case someone goes down or someone starts struggling.
My thinking is he's basically an insurance plan if Gudas continues to disappoint or if Hagg hits a sophomore slump. |

Not really. The biggest reason Couples that go through this type of thing split up is because this difference. Us men believe we can try again or as some people put it "have another one". This upsets the Mother even more. |

Differs from person to person. Could be days, could be a year.
Emotional stuff is overrated in terms of affect on game. As a kid o got into a car accident. Like most people i was scared and shaken up. Some pain as well but nothing serious. Had hockey game hours later and didnt affect my game at all. Also went through a few years with depression. It affected most things in my life but hockey was one thing it didnt change. |

I suffered a similar loss 32 years ago and still think about it. |

I do hope the Flyers are not involved in the Karlsson talks..I am worried that with the injuries as Bill had stated he is on the Peter Forsberg train and his best years are behind him...any talk of trading Ghost and assets is a step backwards overall for a small short term gain is one position until the wheels fall off...
Now, if the Flyers can gain from Tampa having to unload some talent...then I would listen, but for Karlsson...no thanks. |

I really don't care where he ends up, but I am legitimately excited Karlsson is going to get traded out of that poophole. Let's save Mark Stone next |

I think his Nhl equivalent would be byfuglien coming off a season ending injury. I would take big fugly 1 year cheap contract |

Mark stone for Wayne Simmonds. Ottawa ownership could use simmer leadership abilities to run their franchise |

I said the same yesterday but got shredded by someone. But I agree, if they need to unload a contract (Coburn, Killorn, Palat, Johnson, Strahlman) that we can get on the cheap, may as well before someone else like the Rags/Devils do it. |

It's cute when people who don't understand Hockey at all try to use Corsi/Fenwick to make a point, =when they have been shown repeatedly to be essentially meaningless. Try goals for/against. last time I checked, they don't give standing points for Corsi. - hockeyal
Provorov's GF% was much better with Ghost than it was with Hagg or MacDonald. They played together most of the year and they had the highest GF% on the defense.

GF% measures goals for/against. |

you clearly dont spend much time on internet. I dont plan on having kids. Dont see the big deal or point. I am good with kids and they like me for some reason. My uncle has daughters. Find them annoying but i suck it up and entertain them. I dont doubt that im messed up with all the stuff ive gone through and they are going through a lot right now. My sister is extremely cold to them . She does not hold back when they are annoying. I dont think its good for them. No reason for them to be as damaged as myself |

Not to be a negative nancy but I really hope Tampa doesn't get Karlsson. If they do I really don't see how we beat them in a series in the remaining years of G/Jake's prime. With Karlsson they're absolutely stacked and will own the East. - hereticpride
Tampa and Toronto will probably have to play each other a lot in the playoffs before the Eastern Conference Final thanks to the dumb playoff system. |

Have to say, hextall signing JVR makes me feel more confident in him. First time he showed if the situation and timing is right he will pull the trigger. - funmaster18
He's used the cap space he had to make free agent additions every summer he's been a GM. The difference this summer was that he had a lot more cap space to work with. |

Why do people want to go to golden state - 2Real
Going back to Cali, styling, profiling
Growling, and smiling, while in the sun
The top is down, on the black Corvette
And it's fly, cause it's sitting on Dayton's
Laurents steering wheel, plushed out, gold-leaf phantom top
And three girls waiting
Vroom engine's blowing, the chrome, is shining
Passing all the cars on the way
Movement of the wind, back wheels spin
Pop in a cassette and push play |
