It's the fantasy list I believe. So it values guys who score points, hits and PIM's. |

Sundin had the size aspect over Tavares, that's all.
Sundin not do for his scrub linemates what Tavares did for his. - Mr_Smokey
they are pretty close imo. Sundin played in a higher scoring era. that 92-93 season where he had 114 points was nuts.
Very similar seasons. Its going to be interesting to see how Tavares scores the next 5 years |

False. Sundin routinely took poop wingers like Ponikarovsky and gave them a career they barely deserved. Berezin, Renberg, Hoglund, Antropov, Tucker, Modin, King; there's a long list of average / below average players who became better by virtue of playing beside Sundin. |

stupid habs
at that time I had just moved back from BC to Ontario as a kid I was a Kings fan Gretz/Robitaille..and was onto the Leafs by then..so that season I was torn.
I do know that had the Leafs made it to the finals they would have easily beat the Habs..guaranteed. |

Getting flashbacks of him and Mogilny. - LeafsFan23
Mogilny on his last legs. Roberts on his last legs. Sundin routinely got 3rd liners or over the hill all-stars. Rarely, if ever, did Sundin have a player in his prime to play with. A disgusting waste of talent and time. |

I don't live by the new generation in my world there's no such thing as hurt feelings, or easily offended. |

And Marner could too. We're talking about a 20 year old kid who's already scoring 22 goals practically by himself. Natural progression should get him up to 30+ alone. Then Tavares on top of it could put him near 40. Will that happen next year? Maybe. But at some point over the next 7 years, all these guys will be in their prime at the same time. Like 3 or 4 years from now, it's going to be scary how much offense they could be producing. - Unholy_Goalie
Leafs are going to be the golden state warriors of the nhl in a couple years. |

Definitely. They gave up 4 goals a game against the Bruins in the playoffs. Defense is a huge issue.
Nylander with a big year next year could go a long way to helping that situation out.
Picks and prospects are now in play for the right player too. |

He's a consistent goal scorer but never scored 40, 50 or 60. He's a lot like Sundin in that regard. He's also never really had very good players to play with either so it wouldn't surprise me to see him bust open and score 50 one year with the right linemates. Tavares with Marner 5 on 5 and Matthews on the PP, you'd hope to have two 50 goal scorers together if everything goes perfectly. - Unholy_Goalie
