team X sends a forward to Carolina,
Carolina sends Faulk to Leafs.

Since faulk is a elite top 10 scoring defensemen according to you at roughly 35 points a season in the past 4 season.. I will say averaging over 15 goals is impressive but overall.. Gardiner at 52 points this past season make him a elite top 5 defenseman? Trying to understand the schematics of this.. in the eyes of a hurricanes fan... atleast

Any deal for Faulk scares the heck out of me. Faulk addresses none of the Leafs defensive frailties. His defending is not his strong suit. He’s a RH version of Jake Gardiner. Not good

It would even things out a bit more with the D, and Faulk is 2 years younger with 1 more year on his contract.

can't see the leafs not outbid for faulk if the deal isnt centered around nylander. plenty of teams looking for a top 4 d man that could do better than kapanen.
