But if the LHD,RHD matters to Dubas

Gardiner+a prospect for Faulk

Sigh De Haan for 4 years.

Rielly/Faulk
De Haan-Z
Dermott-Carick
Holl

That is a good d group

I’m hearing 4 years $3.85

Let see if it is correct. Give it 15-20 minutes

De Haan and Tavares played together in junior Oshawa generals and are very close to say the least.

Yesterday, David Pagnotta, Editor in Chief of The Fourth Period sent out a tweet explaining that the Toronto Maple Leafs are among the teams interested in landing de Haan. The tweet is below.

Unfortunately for de Haan, he missed a decent chunk of the 2018-19 season with a shoulder injury. Prior to his injury, de Haan was featured in 33 games for the New York Islanders. During that span, he posted 1 goal, 11 assists, 49.1 corsi-for percentage, 45 hits, 65 blocks and 14 takeaways.

If de Haan joined the Toronto Maple Leafs, he’d be the second former Islander to join the Maple Leafs in the last few days. On Canada Day, the Maple Leafs were fortunate to ink John Tavares to a seven year deal. (In case you somehow missed it!).

The Toronto Maple Leafs have recently expressed serious interest in D Calvin de Haan. The Islanders also still very interested. A few more teams remain in the mix. Offers in the table, and he’s turned down one long-term offer from a team. Talks very much ongoing.

Calvin De Haan still undecided. Arguably top UFA d-man on market. Some of same teams involved on Tavares also interested in him plus other teams, so there's cap considerations at play here. His camp will be patient...

Ongoing contract talks continue for de Haan with multiple teams, but the field is narrowing. Leafs, Isles remain in mix, told couple other teams too.

Alright, what are the numbers here?

16 million in cap space, does that increase to 21 with horton on LTIR, or is it 16 million with horton on LTIR?

I have been summoned to give my thoughts and review of this trade.

Pros:
-Free up 2.5 million in cap space for future signings of Marner, Matthews, Nylander and Kapanen
-Matt Martin sucks
-The level of butt hurt on HFBoards

Cons:
-The Leafs are softer than ever, we are talking baby poop soft.
-Matt Martin was tough and made hits
-HFBoards posters all saying Lou Lamoriello still working for the Leafs because he made this deal

Review: Indifferent about this trade, stay or nay it really made no difference in the long run.
HFBoards posters are very stupid. I would not be surprised if many of them have HB accounts also.

That is all.

Then a gaping maw of fire and brimstone opens on the earth's crust, meteors rain from the heavens, and the world dies in an epic inferno that ends history as we know it.

I can see Marner pulling a page out of JTs book and leave a bit behind to stick with the club. He was pretty happy to be drafted by them....what do you think he gets?

Same with AM...does he get more or less than JT? would that bother JT if he got more?

The question is what do they do with Willie....I see him as the wild card here.

Might be 17 million
M Martin was paid bonus July 1st 1.5 mil

Contract 1 million off books
16+ 1 = 17 million

Add 5 million when Horton goes back on official ltir = $22 million
