Best 1-2 in the League?

Matthews/Tavares
Crosby/Malkin
Mcdavid/Drysdal
Drouin/Guy

Leafs have to have the best 1-2-3 though

If it makes you feel better we could trade you Freddy the Goat for your 1st. He could slot right into your second line centre spot
- Archaic

honestly... don't you think the Goat would be their 1st line center?

Should the TSN590 studio be burned to the ground so that hugely moronic ideas such as this can never be disseminated to the public again?

Duchene-Pageau

LOLtawa traded Turris (who is basically Toews) plus other assets for Duchene. So Duchene > Toews.

Pageau is the next Giroux, who just had a 102 point season.

The fact it would even be discussed shows how little some of the tools know about hockey.

Major news........

Carolina Hurricanes assistant general manager Rick Olczyk is leaving the team and expected to land with the Toronto Maple Leafs in some capacity, according to a report from Aaron Ward.

Ahhhhhh something to discuss atleast for all of a couple mins...

- LeafsFan23

Aaron Ward is still around?

Auston Matthews is tenth in total 5v5 goals for the last three season combined, despite only playing for two of those seasons.

That's an incredible stat. And doing it in his first two years in the league.

- Zezel

Laine's better... at least that's what everyone tells us.

Actually, what I'm really curious to hear is the ragingly intelligent (?) debates that will take place around how much to pay Matthews... and then how Winnipeg will convince themselves that Laine and Wheeler will sign team friendly discount deals...

their will be some mental gymnastics going on... Gary Lawless, Spatso and UG leading the circular arguments exercises.... which may have some upside... maybe Lawless loses some weight.

wait for it... it will be exciting.

The Habs brought Guy Lafleur out of retirement to play centre, I mean isnt he a bit too old. You know what, you are right, he's better then what they have

What does everyone think of a Nylander for Parayko swap? Fair trade or would we need to add more pieces?

please don't say this out load. UG will now go on a three day rant about the Leafs didn't draft Point and Kucherov with the picks they could have gotten for Komarov, Bozak and JvR...

I saw this yesterday. You might be a little high on Duchpag

some of these dont make sense to me..like Wash. Backstrom/Kuz should be higher imo

I was talking about this back before the TDL. I think the only viable approach is a larger trade.. .2 for 2 + picks...

the question is whether the Blues believe they need scoring and elite play making versus defensive power house going forward.

so in short - 1 for 1 ... nope.

You could've stopped at “Tavares,” and the answer would be the same.

Why make it a larger deal? Assuming STL needs more depth on the wings, and the fact their D is shored up, I would think a 1 for 1 + picks would be okay.

Parayko is signed until 2021/22 at $5.5 and STL has about $9MM in cap space. Nylander won't get more than 6.5-7. It makes sense. The only question is which player is worth more imo?
